Well, this was one of those quickie builds, you know the kind where you need to feel like you've finished something ;)  1/144 is a lot tougher to get any detail on but I tried.

To tell you the truth I rushed it a bit, I might go back and do some touch up work on some of the paint...I used a brush instead of my airbrush and I should put something on those center rails. On a smaller scale you can really see some of the fit issues on the bottom side but I decided to let it go since this was supposed to be a quick fun build (and it was).

Anyhow this is the Jian J-12 Fighter based on the SU-27 airframe with some major modifications. The original kit was a 1/144 Dragon SU-27.

Looks very nice, a bit like a shortened Su-35!

Oh, very nice!

Are those the original missiles, or did you modify them? They're much better than the ones in the Revell Su-27 kit (in fact, the whole thing looks better)

BlackOps

Original missiles, the only thing I modified was the placement of the wings, everything else is stock built straight from the kit.

Wow that's really well-done Jeff! Very skillful on the canopy framing. Not easy in 1/144. I really like that camo scheme!
