They are nice

Gun could go in the fuselage just below the cockpit or just above the leading edge of the wing ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I am thinking of a militarized Analog 144 (according to Air Vectors, some did like it enough to lobby for the development of a fighter variant) along the line of No.2 prototype......

...... but some digging around on the internet revealed that the aircraft has a number of extra fairings on the fuselage and tailfin tip.  Are these fairings all just meant for test/telemetry equipment that a fighter jet can do without?

Thanks in advance.
To the individual soldiers, *everything* is a frontal assault!

There were AFAIK a lot of camera fairing, because a lot of different wing shapes were tested with wool tufts in flight.

IMHO the Analog lends itself to an attack variant of the MiG-21, because of the bigger wings and higher payloiad? IIRC there was such a design (I remember a pictiure of an OKB model), but it had side intakes and a sloped nose for a better field of view. Had also two smaller engines in the tail.

Just found a look at its belly:

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
