Love the general look oh Bashmaster, but summat about the undercarraige? Maybe a bit too long? Are you gonna go with spats?

Uh oh said the S. word here comes Brian.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Those are there to give me an idea of how it looks up on legs. Two things will change . One, part of the belly fuselage is missing right now and when it's added, it will add a bit of "meat" and balance out some of the empty space there. Two, I hope to make some spats. If I get too frustrated, Spatman should be expecting a box in the mail to add some of his majic to this ugly duckling. :)

Yes, this will be another one of those eye-catching subjects that demands a double-take.

Eddie, I know you post on FSM Forum but I'd sure like to be a fly on the wall and hear comments in person if you were to take your many creative/unique models to a model show.

Absolutely gorgeous Eddie! The long, bent undercarriage reminds me of one of those Luftwaffe training biplanes like the Jungmeister. I think you'll have no trouble Mr. Miller, but if necessary, I'd be honored to help you with the spats.

I love spats!

This bird looks fantastic, like a richman's Pitts Special. I'm in love! Can't wait to see how she ends up. Fantastic work Mr M!!!

The Cat a.k.a Meowbag

That's gonna be gorgeous when it's done!

In fact, it's making me consider a biplane 190D   Got two sitting around that I haven't started yet (which is a rarity for me - the only other duplicate in my stash is the TSR-2!)

Not sure about the undercarriage though, it looks a bit ... flimsy, maybe? I'm sure you'l sort that out though  :)

It's been sitting in a draw, kept alive by suspended cryogenics. I think I'll get it out today and see what happens.

Uhhmm, errr, eddie? Landing gear looks a bit too long in my opinion, but thats just me...

Other than that, me love it!

Edit: What about making wing surfaces flat/faired over instead of visible ribs?

Brian da Basher

How are you fixed for spats  Mr Miller? I'd be more than willing to offer some assistance in this are.

Did I mention that I love spats?

P.S. this beauty is in 1/48 isn't it?

I might call on you BdaB. ;)  B777LR ,you're right, but I was using those just to get off the ground and see what I need for prop clearence. :)

While I digging the parts out for this beast, I found some other stuff and whipped something together within an hour. I may not finish it in a timely manner, but at least I have the physical idea to work from. It's the plane that I got the bi wings from (Spad, not for sure). I added a B-24 engine( it kind gives me the Skyraider feel in the front), the tips of my derelict B-24 wings, and a big honkin' prop, courtesy of JeffryF. B)  It might have some potential. :)

It remains a mystery to me how some people can cobble together virtually anything they find into something so believable and interesting.

Both knitting needles to you, sir, IF you can finish it!
