There was a Mirage 5 which was very aerodynamic, with no windscreen at all:  :-\ <_<

PR19_Kit

It'd be an expensive model, but you could do that with a Mirage 5 and Leduc 022 kits.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, for the old planes I drew such P-51s in my "Virtual Mustangs" book, page 43 of it.

There was a Mirage 5 version with the drag of a windscreen but big visibility: <_<

2-seat Mirages 5 are not completely what-if (the Mirage 5BD is seriously famous in Belgium) but I am completing the collection: <_<

made me think of a prone pilot version. Have you done one of them?
Like the prone pilot Meteor

There were also Mirages like that (with either Prone Observer or else: Prone Pilot): <_<

And seeing a Potuguese Mirage 5PL(M) being built at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=47860.0 by dear dogfighterZen,
I imagined a Mirage with Portuguese Cross X-Wing: <_<

Apart of the export market for Portugal, Dassault proposed a more simplified X-Wing Mirage for the Armée de l'Air: <_<

If I remember well, the Mirage 5 had no radar in the nose (different from Mirage III), so the nose could be very slim, like on an Etendard II: <_<

The Kfir C2 showed the Mirage Delta turns better with not only the delta wing, so Dassault tried even further, 3 surfaces: <_<

I have seen for the first time a picture of the SAAB LX project model, of course the same could have been done on a Mirage basis: <_<

Thanks!

Sorry, this was not SAAB LX but Sason LX, the source is at https://www.facebook.com/SpotonDesignsUK/photos/a.792600681516216/820706288705655
Google says there is a 1/72 resin model of this source, but out of stock. <_<
