Mirage III, Mirage V, Nesher, Dagger, and Kfir

I'm trying to decide how much work LERX's would be

a leading-edge root extension (LERX) on Mirage-like bird? Good idea, I may draw it on my usual Mirage 5, thanks!

Well Dassault themselves did it on the Mirage-III NG, but that would require applying plastic and filler over three separate pieces on the fuselage and I want to be able to reproduce these parts.

I can see that working, but the danger with lengthening the fuselage is the only place that "makes sense" is a plug ahead of the center of lift, and that exacerbates the problem and one gets into a circuitous battle with adding weight and lift, unless you can also cook-up a clean way of putting canards on the intakes that are proportional to the Gripen's. That thing probably has the largest canard/wing ratio of any aircraft ever made.

Sorry, Tophe. No Zwillings for me, not my type of design. They'll all be what-if but not like that. The top one on your drawing somehow reminded me of the Buck Rogers Starfighter...
