Hmmm - think I've got one of those I threw together a few years ago ( before I got back into building them properly ) - must dig it out and post some pics.
Murphy's 1st Law - An object at rest will be in the wrong place
Murphy's 2nd Law - An object in motion will be going in the wrong direction
Murphy's 3rd Law - For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction

QuoteThe cockpit is really plain,

Not anymore

And I too ask about the virtue of decals over painting? I hate huge decals they're always a bugger for me to put on.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Well, the real pain in the rear is going to be cutting them out. Instead of making a sheet of camo, and just applying one layer, I'll be cutting each section out and applying them to fit the airframe.  But, it is the only way to get those perfect little squares !

Airbrushed the body with the base colour last night, decaling starts tomorrow!

Ooooo, that's a lot of work using decals!   :o

Do you recall way back when (2004 maybe?) when I mentioned another way to apply fractal camo using homemade rubber stamp squares of various sizes on the end of a stick?

Quick dip into shallow tray of paint then onto the subject.

As you get to the feathered edges, go down to the smaller sized stamp-pads.

Just a thought.

interesting idea, but after trying it out, I wasn't too happy with the look...as with every new project, it just takes time to work out the bugs.  This is starting to take shape quickly now, though I've gone through a lot of decal paper making mistakes!
