Wow...that sucks mightily!
I was working along the lines of using drop tanks or summat like that when I got an Esci V22 for cheap, and the sponsons are seperate parts on it. Several V22s have died recently in the Bashment O' Doom as donors for the wings/engines. I now have, umm..3 or 4 V22 fuselages waiting for usage. Any hints?
When Boeing bought up DeHavilland in the early/mid 80s, they produced some artwork of Dash 8/V22 hybrids. The idea has percolated about for ages. I've no idea why it suddenly became a top project. Chalk it up to the random nature of my building patterns.

Well, you know the wings for a dasher fit nicely on the V-22. Before the fit hit the shan I had intended to strap on the wings and engines with some heafter props to make a nicely chunky C-22. The thoughts were all going along great untill an errant tennis ball cam sailing into my office and struck a tin of lacquer thinner on the open remenants of the 22. I purchased a second 22 with the goal of completingthe project but there was something attractive about a peice of crap Mig 21 from KP I had, the Dash 8 narrow chord wings and a backstory about Francis Gary Powers and his U2. I ended up selling the second V-22 at a loss 'cause I'm stupid.

The Rat

Oh well, if two of you are going to work that way the I have no choice but to go the Rotodyne route with the one I buy.  ^_^

Actually, there's three of us as I'm gathering parts for a Dash-8/V-22 cross myself with the extra Dash-8 engines and gear going for an upgraded Rotodyne.

Okay, so I would be in the middle of all of you.

Perhaps I should rephrase that...

Captain Canada

I've got a similar 'half start'. I should end up finishing her once we move.....same old song and dance, eh ?

It's a DHC Caribou with V-22 wings and engines. I guess it'll be the military version of Gary and Alvis' birds.

Probably be RCN, to go along with my RCN AEW 'bou.

Sentinel Chicken

There's really only one suitable livery I'd go with:

I remember in the early 1980s (I think) when City Express flew Dash 7s into Toronto Island Airport. Quite a sight to be on the harbor ferry to Centre Island when these birds were coming and going!

Nah, I'll pass for two reasons: one, I'm lazy and thats too hard to paint
And Two: it looks like a gypsy grandmother exploded on it!
yuuuch!

Given what it is, and something that might have happened 40+ years ago, and the way I am generally, I'd be tempted to paint it in BEA red square livery if it was mine. (and I sooo wish it was!!!)
