Well, there they are! Ruskins' C-47 and an Avro York. In the TV series, they only used C-47/DC-3's in the 'Air Lift' segment. They are scaled at 1/144 and consist of the following.................

C-47....converted DC-3 minicraft
York....wings/engines/ tails, Crown Lancaster/fuselage balsa,bog and resin.
Trucks....Tomy 'N' gauge Japanese lorries/one cut down to medium wheelbase.
Base.....MDF and figures...Prieser.

Wow another show-stopper Glenn! That York is the bees knees! Great to see such a rarely built aircraft!

Great diorama, Glenn...neat idea, and really well done.

I thought I'd throw in a plan view of the set, to show you how congested it ended up, and with the lines on the strip, one views it from the C-47.
Oh, and by the way, the Beetle is Wiking.
