Here are a couple shots of the completed Irish A-4EI, based on Hasegawa's 1/48 kit. I'll get more photos in the morning when the lighting is better.

All bluescreened ready for addition of suitable background I see!

Nice work.

David,

Really nice one ... how's the F-2 coming along?

Radish

What a lovely aircraft, model and scheme.
It looks really REALLY convincing.
I shall sleep happier for seeing that.

Yowza, so that's how the big kids do it, huh?
Stunning and believable.

Nice build! I sometimes forget how good straight olive drab can look.

SPINNERS

A lovely build there David. It looks ready to bounce any stray Tornado F3's over the Irish sea (well, it would be rude not to).

That looks so very, very right

You should get a piccie of it next to Ians Irish Hunter

Absolutley beatiful looking Hawk. It looks spot on in those colours.

Well it could be said that they complement each other, although given that the Hawk took a grand total of three hours build time and roughly half that to paint and another hour to decal..... I'm guessing that's about half of what David spent on the cockpit alone !!!!

No, he gets the kudos for the moment. Great build/finish   . Wish I was brave enuff to WhIf a H/gawa 1:48 kit !

Thanks everyone. This one took me about a week to finish; a very enjoyable week, I might add. Cockpit was a couple of evenings.

I like to put the same amount of care into my what if subjects that I do my real world ones. In that vein, I prefer to use the best kits out there. I tend to get the most enjoyment out of my what if builds and don't want that tempered by starting with a bad/hard to build kit.

That's just me though.

I know you mean well, but it's just not fair to post builds like this when some of us have 2 Hase A-4s in the stash, and not so much free time at the moment!!   :D

A truly great whif, and a truly great model!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....
