Here are some better pictures of the new figures I made and some new pics using my hanger.

The weather is nice in my area right now and I should have time today to get out and experiment more with the camera and photobase, I might have new pictures to post later today.

Ah, so I see you've fired up the time machine again B)

The Messerschmitt logo on the building is a nice touch.

I just told Lana that all she just saw was models, not the real thing................I remain spellbound. Matrix, I want to have your children!

Jeez, stop with the breeding references!

gooberliberation and Zac,

Thanks for looking and the kind words!

I am making even more figures right now, I can't wait to build one of the new Tamiya He 162 kits since the engine can be displayed on its engine stand or on the airframe and can be removed or added even after the model is finished.
Such a feature will be ideal for my photobase pictures and this kit could be one of the models that will get my pictures to a higher level of realism.

Well matrixone I think that you have managed to top yourself with this one!!!!

I would wager that if you showed these pics to someone outside this group you could pass them off as originals.

Is the hanger a kit or scratchbuild? If it is a scratchbuild what did you use as references?

Keep up the good work and good pics.

Matrixone, as always I am awed and amazed by your work! Your attention to detail is simply astounding. You could teach a graduate course on diorama building! I'm really looking forward to seeing your "secret" whiff projects in the works.

Thanks Sisko and Brian!

Sisko,
The hanger is made from a Faller 1/87 scale kit I bought from Walthers.

Brian,
I am building four models at once, all of them whiffs, but only three of them are mine. Also I am building some new figures for the photobase. The best thing is I have some vacation time next month and should make a lot of progress on this new batch of models.

Simply stupendous stuff.  Some of those photos the planes look quite literally real.  And I love the contrast between sunshine and shadow you've achieved with your hangar photos, VERY realistic.

If I may a small constructive criticism, some of your figures appear to have glossy uniforms.  Obviously for something like a leather coat this would be fair enough, but a standard uniform should be matt.

Other than that, stunning!

Thanks nev!

Yes I agree 100% about the figures looking too glossy, next time I use my airbrush I will give those figures a clear matt coat.

BTW, if you're looking for more figures, I really, really recommend AB Figures and Milicast in 1.72/1.76

The level of detail on their figures is quite simply astounding.  They don't do any Luftwaffe specific ones, but do Flak crews and a lot of their other figures could be easily adapted.
