Thought I'd give this 'what if' malarky a go so here is the first pic of my offering, the KP L39 Albatros. It will be wearing an RAF scheme of some description, just not sure which one!

Cockpit details are sparse in the kit so I've added some small detail and scratched a pair of bang seats.

Good work, Master... :)

I'm sure it will be better than this one:

Looking good so far.

That old KP kit is nasty. Mind you, it was a product of the old Socialist "No reward for hard work" school of thought, so nobady put any particular hard work into it. The more current Eduard L-39s are light years better.

"What-if malarky"?!  No no.  The correct phrase is "What-if enlightenment"!

That cockpit looks pretty good!  Can't wait to see what scheme you come up with.

I like your Red Arrows Albatross, Nigel!  I've got ideas for Red Arrows planes, though I only have the decals from the Airfix Gnat at the moment.

I found the old KP kit to be perfect for Whiffery.  I did mine up as a trainer.  I think it looks pretty smart in RAF roundels  :D

Nicely done!!!

Why do training jets look so nice with a red dress on?

I'm getting there slowly. Canopy slightly tinted and framing masked, base colour now on, just need to decide on a final scheme. Tail fin will be a different colour as well.

C'mon guys, a little bit of encouragement wouldn't go amiss!  :(

Looking very good Seavixen. What colour scheme are you going to put her in?. If I were doing her, the colour scheme would either be high gloss black advanced trainer or gery/green wrap around in the CAS role.

I'm waiting for it to get finished before I comment again  :P

Well finally finished her after a late night modelling frenzy!  I have used decals from the Revell Jaguar T2 along with it's wheels and the front undercarriage leg which I have reshaped to fit!  Hope you like it!

Holy Poop! I have that kit! How the Heck did you get it to look so good!

See, that's what I'm talking about. I get so inspired here, if a guy can turn a sow's ear into such a silk purse it means with some paitence and time and loads of practice I could do something half as well.

That rocks man. You'd think by looking at her you started with a Tamyia kit.
