The Wooksta!

I've got it and it's part together.  Far, far superior to the Italeri Spits.  Full cockpit detail on a par with Tamiya, spare props and filters.  The fit's not bad either, although due to the more limited nature of the tooling it does need slightly more sanding and test fitting.  The wing went together with little fettling.  MPM circa 2005 sums them up.

It's only flaw is that it's a Vb with additional parts as they've released the same plastic in half a dozen different boxes (Ib, IIb, Vb, LF.Vb, HFVI and Seafire Ib, of which there are two boxings).  Each one has the same parts, although the Seafires have an additional etched fret for the arrestor hook, but different decals for the relevant variants.  The Ib and IIb have the wrong oil cooler for the mark though, but the spare one from the AZ Va would do.

There's rumour that they're doing a Vc too.  More worry for my wallet!

Another one for Italeri that I wasn't aware of.  Also a bonus with a Roulettes decal option.

Just hope they do the Impala II as well.

An interesting kit from Italeri.  Just wondering if it will be a run of various aerobatic teams?

Update from Italeri on their 1/35th Vosper MTB :-

http://www.italeri.com/NewsImgs/DOC_NEWS_000086.pdf

WEM have it listed as a Sept release and these PDFs issued by Italeri tend to preceed their major new releases so the signs are good.

The Vosper MTB 77 looks good and will go well with the others in the range, although i would have liked them to do the larger Fairmile D MTB/MGB as beefy opponent to the S-Boote rather than the MAS boat, but i suspect the smaller boats are cheaper and more popular in this scale.

I can see large numbers of those being converted to R/C, especially if it's as well moulded as others Italeri do in that scale.

does anyone know the origin of this kit? a friend of mine bought this one last sunday and wondered
if it was once an esci kit? we couldn't decide. grrrrr!  ;D

The Wooksta!

Could probably be ESCI, given that Italeri own the ESCI tools and many of the 72nd armour kits and some of their aircraft kits are slowly be re-released.

I'll second Wooksta's guess that the Land Rover is a reissue of the old ESCI kit. I remember seeing an article in the old US Military Modeler back in the early '80s featuring the ESCI "Para" Land Rover and the configuration looks similar.
Some clever and amusing quote goes here.

Looks like Italeri are reboxing Academy's 1/48 Hunter.

The Wooksta!

From the hubbub on Britmodeller, it is.  Aeroclub should really look at rereleasing the upgrade set as the Academy Hunter was poor.

Yep, and a new tool 1/48th RAF Jaguar too. Might get the 1/35 Iveco VTLM Lince (Lynx) coz it looks better than a Hummer.

What version is the new 1/48 Saetta?     Or did I miss-see something.
