This is a re-hash of an old (Supermodel?) kit, but the biplaneinter-war fans will no doubt be glad to see it out again:

I'm a little disappointed it's not a new tool but it will be interesting to see how they have updated her. She was always a nice kit
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It's got a great looking engine cowling, hasn't it? I can see that getting spliced onto a few other airframes...

Looks to be some very fine moulding on that! (I can admit that even if I'm not keen on the subject. :P )

Thanks Guy, didn't check my link!  :banghead:
Does look well moulded. Don't Like the 35 much but I'll probably end up with one or two.

PS removed my attempt at a facebook link coz Old Wombat's was far superior (meaning it works and mine didn't!)

Ohh, bring it on.  I have been waiting for production version of the F-35 in 1/72.  Facebook shot looks like an "A" conventional air force model.  Hope they plan on a "B" V/STOL and carrier capable "C" version. Lots of tooling differences between the three, not easy to make one kit that could be all three.  Make mine a "B" please with a good lift fan, and positionable rear nozzle. Got a few WHIFS in mind.

I've got the old B version Italeri did a while ago. Very different to a production B though!
Fujimi's is a B but no idea how accurate it is.

Yes, many differences, I think the old Italeri "B" was based on the X-35 demonstrator- and had the sideways opening doors over the lift fans, etc.  The Fujimi 1/72 looks OK (I have never seen one in person) but seems hard to get and expensive. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I have a hard time spending $40-$50 US on a 1/72 kit.  I prefer affordable but realistic kits.  If that means less parts count and no photo etch I am OK with that.

Sounds like we're all in the same boat ( as our Gov't too  ) don't really want the F-35, but we (might ) end up with a few ! Just as long as we don't give Italeri a few bucks now, wait 4 more years, only to be told we have to pay more...a lot more !

All kidding aside, looks like a cracker of a kit. Love to do one up as a VSTOL bird either RAN, RCN, or RN !
