Oops! Sorry, Weaver, I wasn't clear enough. I was talking about that particular early-model nose added to their existing 1/72 Wessex kits. The HU.5 has the re-worked intake to make it less prone to FOD and the HAS.3 has that strange "overbite" lip (shape had to do with icing, I think).

No I knew what you meant, I was just pointing out that the raw material exists for a conversion: there might even be one out there somewhere.

They do the HU.5 in 1/72nd and 1/48th, so perhaps they'll do the same with the HAS.1.

Yes it would be nice for Italeri to do the Wessex HAS1 in 1/72nd, for the early ASW, Commando and SAR duties

They do the old radial engine one as well don't they ? Almost certain I saw one ( or have one in the stash ) Love to do a full development line up of that family.

Ah, okay. Now I get it.  :cheers: I suppose one could try to source the nose from one of the Frog (and its re-pops) or Matchbox kits.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

This;

is just a re-boxing of this;

with the road block added.

yes the figures are a re-box but the other bits with it aren't and its a good value set is the italeri roadblock and us soldiers, me thinks.

All sorts of whiffy possibilities there...

i would take 3, but £22.50 (roughly €32) seems a bit steep for such a small scale kit  :-\

The props and engines would be useful as well, but you're right Nils, seems a wee bit steep !

Having just noticed it's 1/144 I have to say I agree mate
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

PR19_Kit

Considering you can get a 1/144 767, 747, A330 and A340 for quite a bit less it's darned expensive! Even an A380 costs less and you could get three ATRs inside one!

Couldn't agree more. As soon as I saw it, the props in particular, I immediately thought of up-grading my Vickers Nimrod with them, but I would have to buy two kits to get the four props.  :angry:
I just hope someone produces a set of replacement props, preferably in white metal.

You could always try it with Revells A400M, they come with 2 sets of props (flight & idle).
