Well that's not a good sign I post up the 2017 Italeri range and the discussion goes on about the background for the 1/56 war gamming armour and nothing about the actual kits or lack of wow factor must get kits that we go looking for. Nuremberg Toy Fair looks to be ok for the Armour builders and the larger scale aircraft but the pickings are rather thin for my areas of interest this year through those mainstream companies  :banghead: (bar of course the Airfix RN Phantom  and Flyhawks RN warships  )

Oh, those things.
F-5E and especially F-5F reboxes would be nice, except that The Stash is already overflowing with those due to a couple of recent forum hauls. So actually, Esci's F-5A/RF-5A/F-5C repop would be even more welcome.
If the F-100F repop is still cheaper than Trumpeter, I'm definitely interested. Didn't they use to have a F-100C/D too?
B-57B... why not, except that I pretend I'm not that interested in Canberra despite having a Italeri B-57G, one Frog B(I)8 and two Mbox PR9's in The Stash ;D
A-6E - Marine decals sound a little less ordinary and I only have a Tamiya boxing in The Stash previously
F-111A - if built into a freeform F-111K this would relieve one Airfix E in The Stash for other, more nefarious purposes *bwhahahaha*
Colosseum - I wonder how that would actually look like next to some "28mm heroic" scale figures? Or use that plus some smaller-scale fantasy dragons (10mm scale should be small enough even though they're 1/160-ish to the 1/500) to recreate the Dragonpit from ASOIAF?

What's the Top Secret entry, any guesses? Not related to World of XYZ even though it's in the same place? The numbering would imply it's something naval and sizable as the number is following the S-Boot and Malale?

Re-release of the Staghound Mk.I is good

Interested to find out what the "Top Secret" 6545 kit is (hopefully not WW2 German)

Series III Landy may be OK

Only things in aircraft that interest me are the F-4E (Aussie markings!), the CH-47D Chook &, maybe, the Cessna 172 in 1/48 (nothing in 1/72)

The 5622 kit looks like it may be another 1/35 boat (MAS/PT/Vosper? ... Fairmile Dog? ;D )

A 1/48 Agusta-Bell AB-206B-1 JetRanger - 2778, on page 5. Good news, but I hope they put more effort in than the recent 1/72 job - that was the OH-58A kit with a new sprue for taller skids, a tailrotor driveshaft cover and a spotlight...but no change to the Kiowa-specific windows!

The 172 has been out for a wee while, I almost bought one on Boxing Day. Building Rust's aircraft is a cool idea.

I missed the Aussie option in the F-4, wow! That's cool.

The Landrover is already out, looks like it has both the Hard top and soft top versions of the two door Series III 109

If it is the same as the old Italeri landrover, it will require considerable work to make it useful as an Australian one.  It will need new filling caps to the fuel tanks under the driver/passenger seats.  It will need a Roo bar across the front and it will require a new canvas top.   :banghead:

Looking at that I may well buy a couple or 3, to add to the 6 or 7 (different series) Landy's in the stash ... Hmm, do I have a problem here?

The problem does not really become serious until you start collecting at 12 inch to the foot scale.

The Lancia Stratos is interesting: I've always thought it's make a good body for a 1/35th Tank Girl tank with the roof and windows chopped off and an M-47 turret fitted in their place. It'd really need to be the rally version with the big light array ideally though.... ;)

It's a small vehicle, so you might want to 'stretch' it a bit, anyhow the Fujimi kit is a little oversized (primarily width),
the Hasegawa kit is pretty much spot on, the Tamiya Stratos Turbo Group 5 road-racer version might be a good starting
point as the aero mods increased the vehicle length.

I've often thought it'd suit an S-Tank alike.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Italeri 2018 release plans, mostly repops or carried over from last year, not a lot to shout about although some interesting schemes that should appeal. Nice to see the HSS-1 Seabat reissued as that's a little different to the standard CH-34s we usually see. I would however have liked to see them do a Wessex HAS1 like they did in 48th.

The "new" 1:72 P-47D with Mexican markings is nice, and good to see that the T-45 is back. The AV-8A is interesting, too. Too sad that the AH-1Z is 1:48 only.

The AV-8A may be the old ESCI kit and I agree about the AH-1Z. I may get the two 1/72 helicopters they show though.
