Wasn't there a proposal for a swept wing F2H?
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

Yes, there was.There was a proposed design for a swept-wing version of the Banshee that would be known as the F2H-5.

For a WHIF Banshee.  How about arming it with the wing tip mounted fuel and rocket pods from an F-89 Scorpion?  The F-89D Scorpion was equipped with these combination fuel tank and rocket launchers.  Each tank/pod was armed with 52 X 70mm (2.75") FFAR which provided a total of 104 rockets for the Scorpion.  This would be ideal for a late production RADAR equipped Banshee.  Might be easy to do in 1/72nd scale since there are affordable Scorpions and Banshees available for a kit-bash.
