Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

He's done it again...Brilliant job Alvis.

I had a fight with the Jackals when my SBD Dauntless was published on Modeling Madness.

I prevailed, since I never stopped doing things my way.

Jackal Island is a coral type atoll approximately 230 km NNE of Iceland. It is classified as a semi tropical Arctic island. Intelligence gathered revealed the island was not made of coral, but trillions and trillions of styrene rivets, most apparently from 1/48 scale Bf-109s. The warm air is due to the constant eruptions of Mount Anubis, which creates a hot air bubble around the island.

I tried to book a ticket to Jackal Island once - I was young, naiive and didn't know about the dangers - My application was rejected cos I didn't realise that the chin intake under the Tamigawa 109 kit was a scale two inches too shallow !  ;)

Great model, Alvis, fantastic imagineering & execution (as usual)

Just as well..many a modeller has run aground on JMN reef...a vicious area full of the shattered remains of models, ripped and torn apart by the nasty rip tides!
And you'd have to anchor in Tirpitz Bay, where sightings of the famous German ship occur daily. If you were to have flown in, you'd have to arrange an arrival time that coincides with low tide, as the runway crosses the lagoon, and is only totally exposed during low tide!

She looks believable, if that's not insulting.

She also looks gorgeous!

Oh you tease.  At first glance, I wondered if you have made an improved version of the Kawasaki C-1.

Much more mean-looking, of course.

Someday, I'd like to send you a nearly-completed model and see how you'd paint it.

Absolutely creative genius.  Glad you're on OUR side.

awwwwwwwwwww  :(

I still find it hard to believe that such a secret invite only modelling community existed.  I can't help wonder if the entire whiff board is playing some kind of extended April Fools gag on me....

Wow, Alvis...is that ever nicely done ! I agree with Baz. When I first popped into this thread I only had a quick peak and thought that was the little 1/100 scale Kawanishi bird. But upon further reading....

I really like the shape of the tail with the wing shape, very workman-like, very tough. Also, very nice paint !

And the Jackass Sqn. How silly are they ? I got into once with one of their 'men'. Can't even recall what it was about...but I said somat like " I can't believe you take sitting around your basement, building and painting plastic toys so seriuosly" at which point the personal attacks started, and I walked away.......
