Sure those aren't hydrofoil wings to make yer boat even faster? AG Bell tried to sell antisubmarine Hydrofoils and minesweepers to the Canadian Navy in the 20's.

Quotefor those of you who are interested, this was a great page of a fantastic site:

Interesting - I never knew the Germans experimented with hydrofoils during WWII.  It's interesting to read that it was underpowered.  I wonder how it would go with a bank of turbojets mounted at the rear (with appropriate spray guards)?  Hmm, there's an idea for a naval what-if - a highspeed invasion buster maybe?

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Sort of the effect I am going for...a modified hydrofoil prototype, still using props...still, fascinating reading.  Wikpedia has a bunch of info too...

Cut out the clear plastic for the side wings, and glued them into place using a funky technique...instead of accelerator, I used elmer's white glue to speed up the c/a...worked really, really well!

Yowsa Greg the addition of the hydrofoil makes this one a real eye-catcher! I love it! That's a great idea to use Elmer's glue as an accelerator. I'll have to try it!

Finally was able to spray on some primer...time to start more deck surgery!

Brian da Basher

Greg that S-Boot is looking totally killer now that you've got it primed! I'm really looking forward to your next update.

Looks great, Greg, any chance it may be painted in DAZZLE camo ??

Greg, I don't know how you can consistently put out such totally buttkickin' builds!

I really, really like this one a lot

Going with a centerline prop, and two pods on the outriggers...so, it's cardstock for the middle fairing, and a lot of PSR:

Good looking boat Greg. Looking forward to your workmanship as it progresses. B)
