Captain Canada

I've been wanting to do a few CDN choppers for a fictitious SAR meet, held right here in Sarnia. I figure regular CAF Cormorants, my SOA Merlin ( which will be re-decaled into CDN Army colours with a few SAR or RESCUE titles ) as well as CCG birds and maybe a UN whitey.....

Anyway, this is as far as my hangover would let me get last night.

I've been inspired by Leigh's awesome Rotodyne build do do a little more for the interior.

At the risk of sounding like those guys at the bar the last time you took your wife out dancing,

Toad, you have a nice peice of tail there!

Ducks as Toad throw a hammer at me.

Whoa Toad, can't wait to see the rest of the bird shape up!

Captain Canada

Thanks guys. I knew my fellow CDNs would like it !

As for hammer throwing, no Sir. But I might get hammered along with you ! And yes, we did have a good time dancing Saturday night. One of the best weddings I've attended ! Of course, I turned into a sentimental jackass one I started having a whiskey everytime I went up for a beer.......

I got most of the interior done last night. I had second thoughts about doing her all up ala Leigh, as I'll save that for the Cormorant w/ the ramp down and doors open. You can't really see anything inside this bird anyway, too dark.

Neat stuff, this should turn out to be a great project.  Just stay away from the whiskey while modeling...

I can comisserate on the *ugh* feeling after consuming way too much alcohol last nite...
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

So, after buying all the CH-148's, that's all the money leftover could buy for the CCG?

Looks good so far!  Looking forward to the rest!

This just in to CBC News, it's being reported that the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia has just collapsed into the St Clair River. Authorities are blaming it on three residents, who apparently ran out of alcohol at a housewarming party and decided to raid the liquor stores in Port Huron, Michigan, and the duty free stores. The combined weight of the supplies, the strange rhythmic dancing, and the chants of WHIF-FERS RULE! WHIF-FERS RULE! seems to have caused a sympathetic vibration in the bridge's structure. Armed Forces Search and Rescue teams are combing the waters for survivors, and police are warning residents to avoid the three revellers, said to be highly intoxicated and waving plastic model aircraft and polystyrene glue. Stay tuned for updates as they come in.

All the while, one resident from Michigan was heard yelling from the shores:

"HEY!  Can I get yer kit stashes?!"

Thanks, Boys !

I'm on days off now, and other than wasting tomorrow doing in-law stuff, I should be posting some updates tomorrow night.

And good story, Rat ! But we're now on the river bottom, doing the old Bob and Doug with the beer bottles. Not planning on coming up any time soon ! Well, maybe for some more beer.......
