This is HLJ's Tamiya sneak peekof the Shizuoka show. http://www.hlj.com/shs09reptam.html

Apart from the new Matilda the Citroen 11CV staff car gets scaled up to 1/35th and the Hanomag gets scaled down to 1/48th, also there will be a 1/35th German 37MM Flak Gun with crew and a 1/16th KV-1.
Only new plane so far is a 1/48th Reggiane Re.2002, which is probably (like the BAe Hawk) ex Italeri or Supermodel.
Grand Prix fans will see a 1/20th scale 6-wheel Tyrell, I'm not a car builder so I'm not sure if this is a repop or new, though I do remember they had one in the catalogue many years ago.

Another incredibly expensive 1/48th scale Tamiya Yard Dart kit review is now available on modellversium.de.  This time it is the Tamiya's kit # Nr. 61106, F-16C/N "Aggressor/Adversary" aircraft with markings for three USAF and one USN aircraft.  The box art of course depicts the arctic camouflage scheme that had many of the Yard Dart aficionados experiencing sweaty palms and a sudden need for privacy and a desire to discipline their monkey.

Saw one today in a Model Shop, £50 (US$80).
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

And to think we thought it was expensive at £28 when it first came out!

Not sure posting an image of a two seater was a wise move !!!. BTW it may be the Pacific Coast models one Nev

Or it may not :D

And from HS
QuoteThis new Spitfire looks like it will be rather special - and yes, as the editor of Tamiya Magazine, one might say "you would say that", but I really do think it looks nice. It has an amazing looking Merlin engine with .4mm thick cowlings with parts for early and late types, rounded and clipped wings, rounded and pointed rudder, early/late wheels and decent size sheet of PE, plus a ton of other features. I can't post any pics yet, but will do as soon as I can.
I can't wait to get started!

Saw the stuff that came through at work today on this kit, it looks very nice and apparantly the panels over the engine are going to be held on by magnets.

will have two figures in the kit and at least one photo etched fret

also  will have alternate tails and wingtips and will come with a flying stand, also has a couple of wing options.

I will try to borrow the bits tomorrow and scan the for you  ;D ;D
Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

I've got the PCM kit, and as you all probably know there's no accomodation whatsoever for an engine. Jeff, I sincerely doubt that Tamiya have re-engineered that kit to produce their own. Probably new from the ground-up. However I do agree that posting-up a pic of a two-seater is not a good marketing ploy  ...... Nice to see that Johnny Johnson's markings will be included.... no modelling cliche's there then  ;D

Doesn't matter to me, I have the PCM kit and I'm happy with that, I'll only ever build one, and like brother Narses says, I really don't want to be taking a mortgage just to add further to my stash !!

There was a fair bit of chatter about this at E-Day. Mainly concerning how this will effect Eduards plans for a 1/32 range ? Concensus was that if Eduard hit the right price range they will be ok. Mr Eduard never took the smile off his face all weekend  ;D
