I'm thinking about a Mirage III with such inlets (and FSW canards, like the IIING experimented in the 80's). Thanks for the explanation, elmayerle!!!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Ok guys i cant post pics but this is what i did. I scratch built a long delta wing and cut slots on the air intakes so that the wings go through the intakes but there still there. The wing starts about a 2 cinimeters behind the cockpit and i put canards right after the nose cone. All in all i think it looks great i was thinking about putting F-4 wings along with the F-4 tail but decided not to.

No pix? We must find a way :D . It sounds good and believe it or not, I was going to suggest F-4 parts. If I happen to ever acquire a Thud, I'll do a F-105/F-4 hybrid. I'll call it the PurpleHaze II. :)
