I have the 109 decals. I've always wanted to submit it in a serious IPMS contest and clain it's "authentic" as I can document it!

Great Tintin stuff...

Alvis 3.1

Some of the artwork from the early stuff, 1914, is terrific....lots of ideas there.
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

I see JCC has been very productive!

I have been thinking for a long time at doing an history of Bordurian Air Force (there is nothing on which to build Syldavian air force , even the national markings have never been shown in the albums) but it is difficult to guess because Hergé did such a mix of Nazi Germany and Stalinian USSR that it would be difficult to extrapolate what is Borduria today (a quick guess : some "democracy" where the opposition parties get harassed but which is still very interested to get into EEC and to prove they are "real" free buy US airplanes ?

Note that I also worked on other graphic novels :

I made a Mortimer Espadon and a Triangle bleue (from Dan cooper) some years ago...and I'm a great fan of the Carreidas, which is strinkingly simialr to the Dassault SSBJ of 1999 (three engines, mach1.8,  10 passengers...) salvo the VG wing of course!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

JC Carbonel

Hello Archibald , which version of the Triangle Bleu did you do ?
I have done the Carreidas 160 in 1/100
and I hope to redo it in 1/48 one day with proper markings

The very first version you can see in in the first volume of the comics. I must post some photos of it (albeit I must recognize it is a bit crude).
I plan to do another Espadon.
I found an easy way making espadons... with paper cones and cardboard wings/tails.
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.

One of my medium-term plans is to use the set of Khemedi Mosquito decals I have on something like a Lightning or a Hunter...

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

More into Flight Sim reskinning these days, but still what-iffing... Leading Edge 3D

JC Carbonel

Anyway the original set of decal (set 3) for the Khemedi Mossie is incomplete as you would need the serial numbers (in Arabic) for underwing, and fuselage side .
Szut aircraft has a four-digit number but other machines don't sport any serial. So if you have got set 3 it is better to use it on some other project . I believe set 4 has the correct serials for Szut's

Here's my Triangle bleu ;)

in the movie "Tintin and the golden flece", the bad guys steal a treasure and transport it in a S-55 (Hellenic AF H-19, serial 277, with roundels taped over in black, accept for the underside.
