Since TinTin was in authorship prior to WW-2, somehow a Savoia-Marchetti S.55, a PZL P.7,  a Curtiss Hawk P-6E,  Junkers W.34 and the like could be included.    It was pretty interesting to see how some of the illustrations changed to modernize the texts post-war.

One might put Thompson and Thomson in a Kinetic T-45, or, to be precise, a Goshawk if they took a modern day American adventure.   Or, for Pre-war Tintin, DuPond and DuPont could pootle through the skies in a Couzinet Arc en Ciel C.70

And here's a model of the "Aurore" (from the 9th album, L'Étoile mystérieuse), the ship that carries the Ar 196 on a catapult:



The ship model was sold thorugh an auction for EUR 500,-.

Oh my, that is gorgeous! I've been toying with the idea of making my 1/32 Mossie a Khemedi one as the scheme looks so good. I love it!
