A new tool 109G-series in 1/48?   :o  That would be dumb!!  Hasegawa have that game slow-cooked to perfection and paid for to boot.   So, it's a new tool P-51D then, eh?

The only Hasegawa 109Gs you see on 90% of model shop shelves in this country are in Revell boxes ;)  Like I said earlier, you have to bear in mind the ubiqitious (sp?) nature of Revell in European model shops.

In which case.....

Revell 1/48th P-51 series, or Corsair, or Bf-109Gs, or Sabres.

What we REALLY want is a new P-38.
Or a new F-80.
Or a new T-33.
Or a new 1/48th super duper Hunter.
But even BETTER.....

a decent 1/72nd Javelin in 1/48th too.

But we'll get something that sells by the bucket load...Mustang, Corsair, zero, Hellcat, German

Impressive selection of stores on the Raptor, entire fuselage and wings moulded in one piece(!), but I don't like those ejector marks in the wheel bays....

Learned opinion on the Gannet seems to be that it is more detailed and accurate than the Trumpeter offering, but no wing folds or AEW3 likely to appear :(

Norway too - they were actually considered a genuine export customer in the late 90s!

Nice find, Nevster ! The Raptor does look awesome.....and lots of goodies to play with as well ! The Gannett looks good as well, but since I've already got the Trumpeter one, I'm unlikely to buy another.....

I know the guy who did the CAD work on the Gannet (and the Lancaster, among others), and he assures me that it's MUCH more accurate than the Trumpeter thing.  I believe him too.  He's good at what he does.

AFAIK Revell has no plans for any other Gannettery...  Bring on the Super Cub though!

I noticed Tanks and JDAMs in the loadout.  Nice to have them along with the AtoA stuff for a change.  The Gannet doesn't look half bad, but I guess for many it will come down to price vs Trump's.

Thanks for posting.

Both look very nice.  the Raptor has never done much for me, but looking at those pics I'm wondering how it would look with the cockpit faired over as a 1/48 UCAV?  Maybe go to a butterfly tail like the F-23 too...

The Gannet looks nice too.  I have a Trumeter one that may end up as a USN machine.  Maybe I'll pick up a Revell one too to compare the two.

Jennings-you will let us know when your firend starts CAD work on a new Lightning or Bucanneer won't you..?    ;)
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Cool!  Another kit I can get AIM-9X's in!

Yeap those sink holes on the F22 do look a bit of a pain. I have the Mini Hobbies (Trumpeter) one and i think that might have a better bereak down than the revell one although it doesnt have tanks and some of the detail may not be as well defined.

The Gannet does look good however, just a pity they didn't do the same job with the Lightning instead of buying in the Hase one !.
