Could THIS be what he was referring to?

QuoteI know the guy who did the CAD work on the Gannet (and the Lancaster, among others), and he assures me that it's MUCH more accurate than the Trumpeter thing.  I believe him too.  He's good at what he does.

AFAIK Revell has no plans for any other Gannettery...  Bring on the Super Cub though!

The Laser model looks to be very cool and seeing as the number of Lasers out there is pushing 200,000, very possibly a very smart move on Revell's part. Particularly if they offer it in a pre-finished built-up version as 1/18th works perfectly with the most popular diecast 'collector' cars.

People who own boats very often want models of their pride and joy, something that most often requires an expensive custom built model.

It's good to see them re-releasing the Nieuport 28. Not sure I want to take a guess at the price though.

Maybe the most important NEWs (at least in my opinion) !!!

the F-22 RAPTOR in 1/72:

http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Re...-22_Raptor.html

Otherwise I still hope for a new Tornado ADV (based on their excellent IDS), a Rafale ... and of course some Chinese Stuff (just a dream).

Cheers, Deino

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

the sprue for the raptor was on the RoG stand at SMW and very good it looks too.  ^_^

i quite agree deino about the ADV  :tornado: one as good as the IDS one by RoG would be good.

I spent a good deal of time talking with the Revell product development guy (for future collaboration), and I can tell you categorically that that rumor is false.

That's not to say it won't ever happen, but frankly I'd rather they waited anyway.  Let the airplane get in service and whatever external mods are going to be made get made before a model kit comes out.  How many times have they done a first prototype (or even a mockup) and been stuck?

Boeing (and now, sadly, Airbus) ask big royalties, as do the airlines.  Revell is by comparison a very small company, and if they're asked to pay huge royalties, they can't afford to do projects.  People think Revell, Hasegawa, etc are gigantic companies, but they're not.  Royalties will kill them eventually.
