I have both Matchbox and the Modelcraft  boxing.

Snap!  plus a Revell one too.  Got them because of all the build options you can do, short nose, long nose, floats, skiis ---

I will be getting a couple of Twin Otters, for sure. I missed them last time round...

Yeah - funny how the "classics" boxing I've got says it's a limited edition of 5000pcs.......

Sue..............

Oh it's her fault is it?

She says not, but in all the years i've been married to her i've learn't that sometimes she is economical with the truth...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Got that boxing too Weaver,  it's what the decals schemes cover,  I seem to remember the CAF one being an anniversary for something ---  They're not the same in the other boxings I have (IIRC ['cause I can't find them right at the moment])

If you're gonna go that big you might as well slap some servos and a motor in and make it RC !

It's this boxing. Have to say I can't see anything "anniversary" about the Canadian scheme: it's the same one as the original Matchbox kit. The other scheme is Aurigny Air in the Channel Islands and I think that's the same as the original boxing too:

Maybe Robert was thinking something about the medal ?

Funny that I've never seen that kit around here tho.

It was also re-boxed by Mastercraft: maybe that one's more common in Canada?

Yeah, I'll have to revise what I said, that's one of the boxings I have and I just happen to have it on hand too so went and had a look at it.  Not sure what I was thinking off, but I'm fairly sure these schemes are not included in the other boxings. But I can't find them to make sure.  -----  :banghead:

Todd, I picked this boxing Weaver is showing, off the shelf at the LMS in Calgary a few years ago when it first came out.  The Modelcraft kits that we do see around and about,  are mostly really old stock although their website is still up and running.

EDIT 1:  OK, the Modelcraft kit I have is this one:

http://www.modelcraft.com/kit_reviews_twotter.htm

Looking at the Matchbox kit on the web, it does show the same scheme as the Revell one, but I don't remember it like that

EDIT 2:  I got looking on the internet because I know I bought the Revell boxing because it had the Canadian CAF markings and my other two didn't.  I'm thinking now I don't have a Matchbox boxing, but another Modelcaft one,

this one seems to ring a bell ---

I've got 3 original Matchbox in the stash and they are as Weaver said, CAF 809 and G-BIMW of Aurigny. Think I'll get a couple more and might even build one!

I think I need to find my Modelcraft kit, in that Twin Otter review I posted, it says there's 'five' decal options in the kit. One is the BAS scheme ---- this is probably what I've been trying to remember what I've seen (and got)

I don't recall seeing the BAS option on mine....but maybe that's just brain fog.
