IIRC, a it was an original Revell mould (originally released in a white box, it depicts an A-20 with a glass nose during Operation Torch over Western Africa) but with extra parts for the night fighter version. Really vintage stuff. That kit had also been re-released under the Matchbox label, after Revell bought it, hence I feared that this one would be another reincarnation of the old model kit. But this time there seems to be hope for the MPM kit!

Got the Revell email update with the P-70 in it. 126 parts and recessed panel lines so it's the Czech mould, odd thing is they say it's a Lockheed P-70 on the boxart...very odd?

I just want to know where the new 72nd Spitfire mk II is and if it has the gull wing.  If it hasn't, I think Airfix will still be getting my hard earned wadge.

The Wooksta!

Finally!

I had a close look at the built up example Revell had on their stand at Telford and all I can say (apart from "*****!!!!") is that it is a massive disappointment and a waste of time.

The windscreen is terrible, with armourglass that scaled up would be about a foot thick.  The prop is suspect, the oil cooler completely the wrong shape and depth, radiator too shallow, wheels wrong, u/c legs lacking detail and the doors proud of the leg and lacking a recess.  Apart from that, the shape looks okay and the gull wing is there but...  If I have to correct all the other issues with either aftermarket bits, homecast resin or the spares box, then why should I fork out the wadge when for the same price I can get the Airfix kit which is just about the best 72nd I/IIa available?

Sorry, Revell.  No sale here.

Okay, maybe just the one.  So I can slag it off all the more once I've got it.  The interior may be quite nice.

the revell newsletter with the 2017 releases are in, but im kinda dissapointed by the lack of interesting kits  :-\

the 1/72 Vampire F.3 and 1/144 kits (A320/321neo and Embraer 190) are somewhat the only interesting releases anounced.
but some of you might be interested in the 1/48 Mig-25 RBT and Tornado F.3

UPDATE: it appears the new A320/321neo kits can only be built wheels up as it doesnt include landinggear, WTF Revell!?  :o

-all kinds of things.

....and a new tool 1/48 Beaufighter ;D. About time as the Tamiya kit is suffering severe mould shrinkage. It might be accurate but it's somewhat toy-like too.

New tool PT-109 in 1/72nd is appreciated as the old kit really was old, just hope we see them do the same with the Vosper 70ft MTBs.

As for the range in whole its mostly re-pops and borrowed moulds with their own tooling efforts going into the odd stuff - why a new 1/32 Super Hornet ? - no new 72nd aircraft, but hopefully the A-400M will have RAF as well as Luftwaffe markings (although going off the recent Typhoon with only one option perhaps not !!! )

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Hippy Kombi looks good and the 1/72 Black Pearl would be a major contribution to a long term plan.

Would that be the old Airfix/Heller 1/72 Vampire?

1/72 AH-1G Cobra - would this be a new tool of their own, or a rebox of the ancient Matchbox? Or a reasonably priced Special Hobby rebox? (I've already got a terrible Plastyk copy of the old Mbox - with an extra sprue to "supposedly" make it a Q/S but still with the old rounded canopy - and two SH's in the Stash, but just in case...)

If it is then it's actually an FB5 not an F3 (and Revell have repopped the Heller kit in the past).

Could it be a rebox of the Special Hobby F3?

Depending on price, I think it'd be worth stocking up on a few of them.
