I wouldn't read too much into the shape of the shroud. They've done it before and what was revealed was unlike the covered shape.

Not sure if it's Steve's 733 ..the roof line looks to short in the guess pic.
Don't look like Joyce's Pinto either ...it's got Camaro lines but that's already out there .
Possibly Mustang...67 onwards..maybe a fox body ..it's in the right yrs for one .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Sorry, Scooter, but to Britons of a certain age a Z-car means a Ford Zephyr (or possibly Zodiac)  This may explain the confusion :-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-Cars

And for us Yanks, we usually think Datsun/Nissan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Z-car

Revell has used a generic car under a cloth image in the past. They state that the car will be prominent in the show. So we'll just have to wait and see.

Agreed...that pics shape is nearer Nissan 240Z but it's probably the 733 ..as boring a model as that would be.

Revell state that it's a 100% new tool and a curbside kit, no engine etc. Revell did the 240Z in 1/25th and Monogram did the 280Z in 1/24th. But I don't know if either one was amongst the tooling sold to Atlantis. Interestingly the Monogram 280Z is a curbside kit.

Oh no, guess what tune I've got running through my head now. And probably will have for the next few days!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Tell ya Jon mate ..this is a guessing game which would on and on and I get a feeling that no matter what I think it might be ..I ain't 😆
I know Revell did a 67 Mustang but don't remember if it was Revell who did the fox body or it was AMT ..probably both did I bet 🤔

Old Wombat

I am familiar with both of those types of Z-car but I can add the old Commonwealth of Australia cars to the Z-car list, with their old Red-Z plates;

These plates are no longer used but Federal Government cars still have a state-registration-based number starting with Z.

For this reason "context" is always important to me, to work out which "Z-car" is being talked about (not that the TV series comes up very often any more).

Both Monogram and Revell IIRC.  But I think all were full detail not curbside.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You and me both  ;D  Also brings up memories of a school trip to the Science Museum and a herd of 12 year olds marching across the forecourt of Victoria Station whistling it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
