Thanks to Hyperscale there are some images of the forthcoming Revell 1/44 scale Boeing C-17 Globemaster III that was built by Diedrich Wiegmann using a Revell test shot of the model kit.  This kit is due for release in Europe during November.

Not as huge as Lindberg's 1/125 or so Fletcher class.

Thanks to IPMS Deutschland and Volker Helms there are some test shot images available of the new tool Revell #04555 1/48th scale de Havilland DH 98 Mosquito BMk. IV available for review.

Looks impressive and they have included both types of propeller shapes plus two different size fuel tanks and the usual bomb and rocket armament that was carried.

Detail on the Mossie looks great and those wings, wow, it'll give the Tamiya version a run for the money, never seen the big tanks before, were they a rare fit ?

Hmmmn.  Not sure why they've included the 200 gal tanks as they're only applicable to post war aircraft, specifically the PR34s.

According to Sharp/Bowyer and in the Chapter on Photo Recon page 145, it says that the 200 Gal. tanks were fitted to PR.34's and 544 Sqn. got their first one in April '45 while they were in Europe.  It says that the PR.34/tank wasn't used operationally in Europe, but leaves the reader surmising that they might have been used in the Far East.

You'd need the bulged bomb bay and there were very few B.IVs converted to carry it.  Some B.IXs had the bulged bomb bay and it came standard with the B.XVI and B.35s.  You might be able to use the one from the Airfix kit as a vacform master.

Is there a 4,000lb bomb in the Tamiya Lancaster that could be used as a master?

Paragon have two bulge bomb bay conversion, 48074 is a bulge bomb bay, 48075 is a bulge camera bay and Belcher has these in 1/48  http://www.belcherbits.com/lines/148conv/bb9.htm

The last two Airfix Mosquito kits have the bulged bomb bay doors and the fairings that go with them plus the additional parts for the later two stage Merlins.  Are these parts not correct for the version you intend to build?

I think - and I've never been able to get a definitive answer on this - but I think, the bulged bomb bay was slightly larger on the PR34 than the PR16

Tankers will get a 1/72 M60 with dozer blade and the cannon version of this year's 1/72 Mörser 18. There'll also be a 1/350 Tirpitz.

I wonder whether the Supa Hornet will be from a new tool or the Hasegawa or even Italeri kit re-popped?
Cheers,
Moritz
