Modellversium.de (image source) has uploaded a kit review of the Revell of Germany Eurofighter Typhoon(1/144th scale Kit #04074) with images provided of the kit contents.

To be clear, that's the OLD kit, not the new one. I've built this one; the old kit is a bit crude (see the intakes), has some inaccuracies (the wheel wells aren't modeled, for instance), and the kit was created long before the Typhoon design was finalized.

Thanks for the clarification.  I did notice that there was a lack of weapons and figured it was the old kit so I did not make mention of "NEW" in my original post, just making it known that there was a kit review available.  I figured I would leave it up to the consumer to make the determination on whether this was worth acquiring or ignoring.

Modellversium.de (image source) has uploaded a kit review of the RAH-66 Comanche
(1/72nd scale, Revell kit #04469).
This is an Italeri kit (#ITA0058) packaged in a Revell of Germany box.  Additional images available showing kit contents.

I wonder if RoG will also offer the 1/48th scale Italeri kit of the RAH-66 Commanche?

Well I wouldn't be too hard on them: <...>

Yeah, you're right. I'm glad that Revell does so much for the 1/144 crowd. Especially since the profit margin must be extremely small on these kits. But these little goof-ups. It seems like they're being rushed and therefore make these little mistakes. A little more time and they'd be the perfect kits in the scale. As it stands, they're the best anyway, but they could easily be 100% instead of 95%.
As for the double-seater kit including more ordnance, I'd not hold my breath. I think even ASRAAMs are unlikely, but anything else is highly unlikely. I hope I'll be proven wrong, though.  ;D
The Tornado GR.1 includes a good deal of British weaponry that can be used on the Typhoon (or Brit Harriers). Here's the relevant sprue of the kit:

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

LOL - I wonder if they're really going to get that mucky in service?

Re ASRAAMs, they've got to be one of the easiest missiles to scratchbuild, particularly in 1/144th. You could probably make a visually acceptable one by cutting bits off a Sidewinder.

We also enquired about the old Matchbox British Phantom and he reckons it could be out next year !!

i wonder if RoG will correct any of the errors with this kit. if not, aeroclub no doubt will keep on
producing their upgrade kit for it. [vacform canopy, afterburner nozzles, u/c legs and ejector seats.]
they still get asked for a few each year at SMW, i recall.

a new tool F-106 is more than overdue!

The old Matchbox 1/72 Hawker Fury has been re-released.  Contains markings for 1 Sqn, although title on the paint instructions says 43 Sqn.  It's old (Matchbox's first model), but should scrub up well & three quid cheaper than the A Model kit.  Just picked one up today, it's very slightly flashy, but should be fine.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Noticed in Revell news that the 1/350th USS Wasp kits has been released. This is the MRC kit being marketed by Revell in Europe, MRC in US and Fujimi & Monochrome in the Far East (actually manufactured by Trumpeter !).

http://www.revell.de/en/products/model_kits/model_kits/search_result/?id=203&KOKANR=01&KOSCHL=&KGSCHL=&L=1&page=1&sort=0&nc=&searchactive=&q=05104&SWO=&ARMAS4=&KZSLPG=&offset=1&cmd=show&ARARTN=05104&sp=1&nn=1

Nicely coincides with the release of the Airfix Illustrious in the same scale as rumours that Trumpeter may issue the AV-8B as seperate item along with other Aircraft from the kit.

The bad news is that even with Revell doing the distribution, he price hasn't dropped any and according to Hannants the RRP is set at £175 !!!!!

Why the hell has the price of ship kits (particularly 1:350 ones) jumped so much in the past couple of years? :banghead:

Haven't 1:350 aircraft carriers always been very expensive ?
