The interesting about the 1/72 F/A-18E is that Revell calls it "F/A-18E Super Hornet Twinseater" on their website, which might mean it's actually an F/A-18F.  :o Would be about time. The single-seater was released three years ago.

Adding to Nils' list, the sci-fi guys will get some Battlestar Galactica stuff. The Battlestar and the Mk.II and Mk.VII Vipers. AFAIK, they'll be reboxes of the Moebius kits.

Would be nice to see the old & new battlestars available

if it is an F/A-18F, i'll take 1 or 2, might make a nice Belgian AF future fighter.
oh wait, im already doing that in 1/144

i hting it would also look great in Genovian or Danish markings  :tornado:

I'm pretty certain I saw one today and it is a 2 seater.

The Battlestar kits are reboxings of the Moebius kits at very much lower prices. Viper MkII is £19.99 (previously £31.99), Viper MkVII is £19.99 (previously £29.99) and Galactica is £19.99 (instead of £51.99!).
Really hope this continues because Moebius is doing new kits from the original series soon (Galactica, Viper and Cylon Raider) and maybe Revell will release some of the Moebius figure kits cheap too!
Wouldn't mind a cheap reboxing of the 1/72nd Skipjack sub as well.

That's good news, Revell do seem to be heading up an attempt to bring sci-fi models to the mainstream and therefore reducing the very hefty prices that are associated with them.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Which is good.   They're just too damn expensive, otherwise.

If they'd re-release the 1200th scale USS Voyager (which came with a similar scale Kazon and Maquis ship) I'd be happy.  Want it to go with the Starcraft Akira and Nova class ships I've got tucked away.

Two reasons why SF kits are so expensive.

Niche market.  Lower production runs mean higher costs

Licencing.  How much do you reckon it costs to have a copyrighter logo, ship design, etc?  Can't see Lucasfilm, BBC, etc, letting Revell et al use their designs for free.  That eats into the profits and wigh the lower production runs, means a higher price.

I want a Kelvin, damnit.  Although, I'd be happy if they started releasing the movie kits in a normal scale.

At work we sold over 120 Revell USS Voyager kits round the world in about a month so not that a niche market.  ;)

A lot of the problem is the importers putting a pound sign on the dollar figure.  Frontier models do that all the time, even Modelzone/Pocketbond follow that practice.  Since Revell are producing and reboxing smaller manufacturers products the middle man is pushed out and the price comes down.

Are there any good curry houses in Durham?  Bit far for me to travel but always looking for a good one to add to the Champion's League.
