Quote from: Wardukw on September 25, 2024, 11:51:13 AMSpecking of Revell..ive got the Revell release of the Italeri M977 HEMTT cargo truck with the MLRS rocket packs in it...well upon opening the box I found it had two packets of sprues..each with a set of wheels ..the rubbish plastic ones..there's the sprues to build two complete chassis's ..only one cab tho ..definitely a boo-boo from Revell..bloody great for me  ;D  ;D

Just think of the possible cabs you can build! The cab is mostly flat faces and angles, so you could scratch build one. The Italeri plastic wheels are awful. About all you can say for them is that they're plastic (not vinyl), round and have surface irregularities that can be considered treads, if you squint.

There was the twin pair of 1/72 early Tornados released back in September. RAF and German decals.

Oh I didn't think about a custom cab ..Franky mate that's a bloody good idea...course it would have to be something quite serious in the cool department 😉😄

Over kill is often very understated .

There was a Guntruck being built in Iraq or Afghanistan, that used the hull of an M-113 - not sure if they ever finished it, but there are or were shots on the net of the WiP... just a stray idea...

That first link ..the reddit one is a vehicle I've seen many times before ..ive have a few pics of that truck.
It's a modern copy so to speck of the gun trucks built during the Vietnam War where they'd take a dead M113 and strip the tracks and drive train out of it then tie it to the tray of a 5ton 6x6 truck...strangely in most of the pics I've seen they keep the commanders turret on it and very little else 😀

The other link tho did provide some very tasty fruit 😋
Thank you good sir 😁

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I've got a number of pics of the Alabama Slammer. I have the parts too. One of these days I might build it.

On a HEMTT you could put two M113 end to end.

Not the steel but to butt weld the two M113s together. After you cut the a$$ ends off square!
