Hurrah for the 1/32 Typhoon!  6 months after they said they wouldn't do one (probably because of the Trumpeter one pending), they announce they will (because it will be cheaper and more accurate than the uber-expensive Trumpeter offering which with just a cursory glance has obvious things wrong)

Sales of Airfix kits plummeted in the 1980s, and GCSEs had to be made easier as a result - James May

Presumably the Privateer is the ex-Matchbox one?

And the Dreamliner fills me enthusiasm, not..........! Boeing will probably modify it during flight test and we'd all have to update our built models.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The 1:700 Colombo Express could be an interesting one - aircraft carrier conversion anyone?

Good to see that Revell of Germany has seen fit to offer that kit once again.  It would be nice if they could offer both versions of that model at the same time.

You may want to move the superstructure, but that shouldn't be too hard.
A SCADS carrier would be a fun build.

^ A mercenary carrier!  Some Freestyles or Harriers, some attack choppers, some transports choppers and a couple of AFVs -  perfect for ruining your average tin-pot dictator's day!

Michael Benolkin from CyberModeler has dredged up a classic Monogram kit from the past in the form of the venerable B-52D Stratofortress as sold under the "Big, Bad, and Beautiful" promotion.

The Monogram B-52D has changed very little over the years from the original kit that was sold with an electric motor to replicate jet engine noise.  Sadly that gimmick fell out of favor years ago and aside from the special version with the X-15, most of the B-52D kits have all come with the wing pylons full of bombs and a plug for the bomb bay suggesting many more of the same carried internally.

I have this kit in protective custody and one of the first things I did was acquire several 1/72nd scale Hasegawa Weapons sets for the general purpose bombs and the multiple ejector racks.  It takes a bit of careful cutting but you can successfully remove the kit MER shapes from the stores pylons and replace them with the Hasegawa parts to improve on the details.
