Revell's words on their new 1/144 Eurofighter Typhoon:
"The brand new Revell model will have engraved features, fine cockpit details and an extensive range of weapons. Unlike the previous Eurofighter models the Revell kit will have all the features of the production aircraft."

Really looking forward to this one.
Extensive range of weapons.  Yeah!
your not the only one looking forward to it, if it has as much weapons as they claim, i might get 2 or 3 of them

If it's not too pricey, I already have an idea for that Hindenburg (as, I suspect, do half the board), and I can't wait to see what Brian's going to do with that Do.X (you know it's going to happen, why fight it?

The Hindenberg is back out again in the UK-ordered mine. Sky Pre-Dreadnaught here I come
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

From Modelng Madness:

Oh ye of little faith...I need two of those suckers for a little something I have brewing to follow up up the Aether Battleship.

Got the Hindenburg gift set a couple of years ago. When I first played Crimson Skies I had these thoughts about a forced perspective dio of the Hindenburg with the WizKids (or sumthin') Crimson skies miniatures.

Something else you can do with two Hindenburgs:  Perry Rhodan-inspired battleship Aglazar

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

IPMS Deutschland has a couple of pics of a test shot of the forthcoming 1/144 Eurofighter Typhoon. CLICKY! What can be seen looks very promising.   (Almost)* Full air-to-air fit ;D , but no air-to-ground ordnance. :( Going by the sprue layout, a twin-seater is only a matter of time.

* EDIT: As Weaver discovered, there are no ASRAAMs.
Cheers,
Moritz

I see Meteors, Sidewinders and IRIS-Ts, but no ASRAAMs....

Right! D'oh!  :banghead: Modified post accordingly.

What a blunder by Revell. First the missing chin pod on the Tornado GR.1, now this.   They do some top notch stuff, but then there are these little negligences.
Cheers,
Moritz

i would have loved to see some A2G weapons in this kit (Taurus, GBU's,...) but i do like the IRIS-T's
although the Meteors dont look all that special from here, i guess i wil have to wait til i get my hand on the kit before i can judge

but overall by the looks of the mold, i say there's a 2-seater planed, maybe next year

Well I wouldn't be too hard on them: maybe this first version only comes with German markings, so it wouldn't need the ASRAAMs. There's obviously a two-seater boxing on the way, so maybe there's an RAF one in the works too, with ASRAAMs, Storm Shadows, Brimstones etc.....

Saw the Revell rep at work today, he had a lovely folder with a B36, an f106 a B58 all with new on them........but he didn't know if they were available in the UK or not as he only had that sheet today.

We also enquired about the old Matchbox British Phantom and he reckons it could be out next year !!
