I have a very old boxing (1970s I think) of that kit from Revell, so it's been released before. IIRC Brian da Basher bashed one into a very cool airliner recently.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Green Dragon

I've got a Revell one with the photo of the built kit on the box (early eighties I think?) and it's cockpit and windscreen shape and detail are much better than Frog's. Has basic engine detail too. Got some Dragon kits too but they (and the Revell) seem too good to hack up into a jet bomber from Wings of Honneamise!

The Revell and Frog Uhus are two different kits, each with its own drawbacks. The Revell kit does have the
features Paul mentioned, but is encrusted with rivets. Fit is only so-so. I don't remember much about the
Frog kit other than it being smmoth skined and grey.

Thanks to"Modelldoc" on flugzeugforum.de for the heads-up!

Revell just announced a 1/48  Eurofighter Typhoon double-seater on their homepage. CLICKY! No further details listed yet. These previously unannounced kits are due for release in the fourth quarter of the year. No precise date is given, though.
Think it's a fair guess that this will be based on the new-tool single-seater released a couple of years ago.

Other kits that have not been announced previously:

1/144
Airbus A300-600ST Beluga
Boeing 737-800 TUIfly "HaribAIR"

1/72
Focke Wulf Fw 200C-4 Condor Bomber
Stearman Kaydet
DH.2
UH-60 Blackhawk US Army

1/48
Northrop F-5F

The military guys will also get a 1/72 MAN 7t milgl 6x6 truck!
Cheers,
Moritz

Sorry, Nils, but I forgot to include the Typhoon will be in 1/48! I posted this on ARC before, where I included the scale in the thread title and just copy'n'pasted it. Link and scale are fixed now.

I'm pretty sure, though, that we'll see the double-seater in 1/144 as well. The moulds have clearly been made with that option in mind.

I wonder which moulds the DH.2 will be from? Given that they re-released the DH.2 not too long ago.  Maybe the Eduard tool? They also re-released Eduard's 1/48 Albatros D.V and Fokker Dr.1...
Cheers,
Moritz

Isn't the 144 Boeing 737-800 TUIfly "HaribAIR" already out ?

I have one in that scale with those decals

What's new about the Beluga?

It's been out for years, I've even Whiffed a few of them....  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That's what I thought as well. So I googled a bit and found a second version:

If you look at the names of the planes just below the cockpit, you'll notice that the golden version is called "HaribAIR", while the blue one is called "GoldbAIR" (CLICKY!).

I guess it's "new" as in "re-release". Apart from the Typhoon and Fw 200 (which are just modifications of existing tools), only the MAN truck is a really new tooling. The rest are just re-releases. At least that's what I think. Maybe Revell will surprise us. I'm nit exactly holding my breath, though.

How come Airfix gets a slagging off for re-releasing its older kits, yet Revell seems to get away with pushing out its P-51, Bf109E, the HS219 (wheher it's the old FROG or Revell one or not) and probably others as well?

The Beluga has long been out of production and was getting hard to find, so the rerelease is welcome.

The MAN is probably derived from the 8x8 version they did recently.

Glad to see the repop of the Monogram 1/48th F-5F, have to get me one or two.

1:48 Typhoon two-seater....... Mmmmmmm , - Well there goes another budget  :o

I can foresee a number of 'Strikephoons' (well at least one) in the very near future, utilising a lot of the unused loadout from the single-seater...... got some Omani, Australian and Singarporean decals in the stash that would suit !
