How come Airfix gets a slagging off for re-releasing its older kits, yet Revell seems to get away with pushing out its P-51, Bf109E, the HS219 (wheher it's the old FROG or Revell one or not) and probably others as well?
;D ;D

Because most Brits don't buy a Revell kit because "its a Revell kit", but plenty of them buy Airfix kits "because they're Airfix kits".  Put a new tool Revell spitfire and a 50 year old reboxed Airfix spitfire on the shelf, and 9 times out of 10 a British modeller will buy the Airfix one :banghead:

Revell 2 seat Typhoon?  'Bout time eh?  Wonder if we'll get Saudi markings?

Radish

For me, the highlight is the 1/72nd Kaydett, as there's lots of possibilities, not least the real-world Israeli camouflaged ones!!

Then, of course....lots of whiffing possible...

German WW1, RAF SEAC, and many others too numerous to mention.

I was talking to a Revell Rep today and he was saying the the release date for the 1/32 Hawk and He111 has been put back to at least 10 Jan 2011.

Next time you see him tell him to repop the Matchbox HS125-600 with an extra sprue for optional -700 engine nacelles!  ;D

Time to speculate or prod.
I noticed that in September's Scale Aviation Modeller that there is an article about the Arado 555 in association with RoG. Does this mean the kit is going to be put back into production as they have done over the last couple of years with their Luft '46 kits?

Anyway prod RoG with an email asking for the kit to be re-released. http://www.revell.de/en/company/contact_revell/index.html?L=1

Just seen in SAM that the Hasegawa He-111 is now available in a Revell box at less than HALF the price!  :o

Who in their right mind is going to fork out a fortune for the proper Hasegawa version just for a few extra decals? Just goes to confirm what we're talking about elsewhere, namely corprorate greed!

I sent them an email asking if they would rerelease the Matchbox Skynight.  Got a lovely canned response but if enough others let them know...

Is it available again? I remember Revell re-boxed the Hasegawa 1/72 He 111 a couple of years ago, but always thought they had been OOP since.

Seems so, it's listed in the SAM 'The Briefing' bit at the front, Stock Code is 04377. Priced at £14.99 at Hannants but currently zero stock.

Ah, I see. Checked the stash and the Revell He 111 I have also has the stock code 04377. Copyright on the box says 2006. Paid 13.99 EUR for it, which was the MSRP here in Germany at that time. Certainly wouldn't mind a re-issue. A friend of mine snagged one at the LHS for a whoppin' 8.90 EUR just last week. Seems it had lain there for years for that special price and no one noticed.
Cheers,
Moritz

Have to be honest I thought the SAM Briefing bit was a heads up to let people know that the Revell kit was a re-boxing of the Hasegawa kit, rather then notification it had been re-released. Kind of "in case you spot one and you are wondering" type of thing ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

PR19_Kit

......or maybe trhey needed something to fill up space? I DO wish they wouldn't do that, whatever the cause if it hasn't been re-released.  :banghead:

Ex-Matchbox Gladiator is out. Pre-WW2 markings and I think only one option.
