1/72 A400M  :o, i wanted a 1/144 one, but 1/72 that would have to be a huge kit
a new alpha jet in 1/72 would be nice, hope it has some good cockpit detail this time, the NH90 NFH is definitly going on my list, as Belgium is expecting its first to fly this year.

its good to see the Ar196 in 1/72 again  ;D but that 1/144 superbug? i guess thats gonna be the Dragon DML mold.
i got the old Tu95 Bear kit in the stash, and a but of advise, you ned a lot of putty arround the forward window  :-\

anyone else thinking of a 787 MRTT

Less than £20.00 for the Arado...... It would a crime not to. Think I'll get one just for the h*ll of it. At that price the Hawk looks (potentially) even more attractive.

Ian

Thinking the same re the Arado Ian. I wouldn't normally consider wiffing 1/32 but at that price...Italian ?

Do it ! - but only if you're going to add the red 'sunburst' marking on the upper wing, personally if I am going to build/whif one, then I'm thinking either Finnish or Japanese or Vichy France, Japanese would be uber cool as it already looks a h*ll of a lot like a 'Jake' (?) anyways !! - Anybody brave enuff to do a land based one - BdaB could put spats on it..... shame he's not around anymore, I miss him  :-\

Yup pre-war Italian complete with sunbursts

There were Ar 196's in both Japanese and Vichy markings Ian. Used on one of the German merchant cruisers in the Far East. The markings are in the Italeri 1/48 version
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

As long as the 88 is close, I will get one.  Been wanting to do a BoB version for some time without paying Hasagawa's asking price.

Except that Hasegawa don't do either the A-1 or an A5 which were used in the BoB!  And if you want to backdate either the Hasegawa or Zvezda A-4s you have to do a lot of work.

Could the Halifax really be new or just a new re-pop of the Matchnox kit?

A user on Flugzeugforum.de, "Modelldoc", who has some sort of inside knowledge regarding Revell said on Flugzeugforum that it is indeed a 100% new tool. Apparently, the UK has become a pretty important area for Revell, hence new tools such as the Lancaster, Hawk and now the Halibag.

The new Ju 88 is cheaper than the Ar 196 and the 72nd armor ?

Gondor

That's tempting for the A400M and a definite for the Halifax at those prices as far as my buying them is concerned.

I'm pretty sure the prices for the Ju 88 and Halifax are typos. The Lanc costs 19.99 EUR MSRP, the B-17G 22.99 EUR. I would think that the Halifax will also be in that region, the Ju 88 maybe a bit less (their Hasegawa-repop He 111 costs 17.99 EUR MSRP).

It's really a strange (in a good way) situation that we hve with Revell. In the main their own aircraft kits are very good indeed (Hunter, Eurofighter, Lancaster, Arado etc), and extremely well priced, at least here in UK. What I find a constant wonder (again in a good way) is how they can turn-out all those Hasegawa aircraft kits at the same (cheap) prices and have them sitting alongside the Hasegawa originals which - in the case of the He111 just mentioned by Moritz, is a full £10.00 dearer for the same kit !!

The flip-side to this is the 1:24/25 car kits they produce. So many of them are thirty or forty year old Monogram kits sometimes - but not always, with a few 'extras' added. I'm fairly certain that if I wandered over to the USA, I could still get the originals in Walmart or any other supermarket or hobby shop for around $10.00, here they're charging £23 to £25.00 for some of them !! - seems to me that there just isn't any consistancy across the catalogue in the pricing policy.

Ian
PS - Still looking forward to the 1:32 Hawk though !!

I was gonna ask if it was a typo re the price of the Ju88 as it appears to be cheaper than the Arado.....they would fly of the shelves otherwise.....I to am looking forward to the 1/32 Hawk....especialy if its a 100....!!!
