Another classic re-release and one that will get snapped up I'm sure.

Spooky - I just picked up the solo 1/72nd X-15 in the Young Astronauts boxing (as mentioned in the review) from ebay......

It was interesting to see the reviewers comment regarding the "steep" price!! $69.95 works out at roughly £43 although, I've seen this kit at $56 on one U S retailers website. Mind you, postage will be hefty. I've been trying to get this one for ages.I don't think £43 is too outrageous - after all, you are getting two models - one of which is SERIOUSLY big!!. I just shudder to think what the price will be in Rip Off UK !

Kingkit have the B-52D in stock at £29.99 so, I guess it is down to the individual if you consider another £14 for the X-15 is justified.

Considering the silly prices this kit was fetching on evilbay, almost anything would be better!!
Loves JMNs but could never eat a whole one!!

It would seem Revell has re-released Heller's Vampire.  I wasn't aware of that connection between those two manufacturers.

And it includes the original 112 Sqd, sharkmouth decal too.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Revell has reboxed Heller's Vampire before, but that was ages ago. A user on flugzeugforum.de with some inside knowledge of Revell said Revell bought the Vampire and Alpha Jet moulds from Heller this time, along with some others (without specifying which moulds).

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Green Dragon

Hadn't heard that Moritz, very surprised Heller would get rid of them.

Frst sprue and built pics I've seen of the new 1/48th Ventura from Revell are in this post from Cybermodeler from the US IPMS show. http://www.cybermodeler.com/special/ipmsusa2011.shtml

Looks rather good to me though not my type of subject.

The only Revell Trek kit I'd like - and I've been after one for a while - is the small 1200th Voyager from the Kazon/Maquis/Voyager set, mainly as it's the same scale as the Akira, Sovereign and Nova class ships in the stash.

Jeepers that A400M looks good.

But that's THIRTY TWO prop blades to assemble! I can't believe they moulded them in one piece with the spinner.

As for the Transall C-160. does the Revell kit have any connection with the old Heller moulding or is completely new?
