The Airfix and Heller AlphaJets are different to each other in various areas, I've got one of each in the stash but where there are exactly I'm not sure.

ive build both the Heller and Airfix Ajets and i got the old revell one (witch is re-released with new decals) in the stash.

the Airfix and heller alpha Jets are the same mould, the only thing that they dont have in comon is the brandname and the color of the sprue (airfix = light grey, Heller = broken metallic)
revell's mould looks similar but is quite different from the Hellerfix version

Looks like you get two sets of props with the A-400M

I count 4 props on those sprues. The test shot shows those same props; with two props that have the blades at the normal angle and two props that are feathered.

Wait one! Your Heller Alpha Jet is the one in the Patrouille de France boxing, isn't it? On the box an inverted Alpha jet, screaming down the runway? That particular Heller boxing actually contains the Airfix kit, NOT the Heller kit. Heller had rented out its own mould at the time, so had these produced by Airfix for them. See THIS TOPIC on Britmodeller.

Looking at that sprue I'd say that there's two in the kit as the exhausts half's are on it.

Saw Aircav yesterday and he tells me that the Model store he now works for have the Revell 1/72 Ju 88 in stock. He's picking one up for Telford for me

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Talk on Britmodeller says that's the case.  I'll hang on for a while, despite the 88 family being amongst my favourite aircraft (I'm curious to see if I can get a 388 out of it rather than convert a Hasegawa one).  If it isn't Plan related, it's kicked into the long grass.

Already got an idea forming for a STOVL A400M, and I see there's 3 and 4 blade props in the Halifax kit, those will come useful

Who'd have believed, that new 1:72 kits of 4-engined 'heavies' would be so 'en vogue'. Wracking my memory and I think just about all have been covered in the last few years by Airfix Revell, Academy & Hasegawa - to a greater or lesser degree of 'acceptance'. Not my cup-of-chi but very, very welcome.

Just need a Belfast now.  ;D

A Hastings or a Tudor first, please!  There isn't currently a kit of either (The Formaplane/AIM one is currently unavailable and the Contrail Tudor is long gone - Booo!) and we already have the Magna one of a Belfast.
