Will be getting the E-4B to do as a civvy 747 and maybe the 48th Wessex but for troops instead of the ASW one in the piccie.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

That ex-Heller 1/1200th Jeanne d'Arc is interesting: it's got the Masurca SAM launcher which was intended for the ship when it was seen as an ASW/AAW escort for the PA58 carrier, but which was never fitted due to it's role being changed to ASW/Amphib/Training after the PA58 was cancelled. The moulds must therefore be pre-1960...

This is the French equivalent of the old USS Long Beach moulding with it's Regulus launcher still in place.... ;D

Herr RoG said they would be reissuing more ex-Matchbox stuff in 2012.

I asked the people on the stand at Telford if they were thinking of either down-scaling the A400M to 1/144 or upscaling the C-17 to 1/72.

I got a VERY patronising reply (from a guy who was about half my age!) to the effect that '.....we're always thinking of various things'. I pointed out that such a reply was hardly helpfull and just saying 'No' would have been better.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sounds like a real deep thinker who's last gig was selling blue jeans at the GAP stores, and had just three expressions-
  "those look good on you"
  "they match your shirt"
"We're always thinking of various new things- - - in your size"

I suspect a more accurate translation is either "I don't know"  or "WTF is he talking about?"

Good news about the E.555 and the Wessex coming out again, so much for the rumour that the Wessex mould had been destroyed.

Huzzahs for the E.555 - definitely getting one of those when it reappears!

EDIT: Will also be interesting to see if the T-50 will be cheaper or more pricy than the Zvezda boxing...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Hmm...an E.555 scaloramed to a single or two seater...
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

The Wooksta!

Nice to see the Saetta back out, even though it's one of their 'kits that time forgot'.

If I remember correctly, I paid about £14 for my E555 from Beatties in Reading. Strangely, I remember the day I got it as well. A cold Juanuary Sunday with rain like a monsoon....wierd eh?
