First off, the 1/24th Routemaster Bus, what can I say.........................................it's in a big box and it's packed full of sprue.  ;D
Since posting this message I've had chance to study the instructions and it's not going to be an easy kit to build.  :-\  ;D

Hmmm, a Merlin engine from a Spifire, Hurricane or Mustang would fit a treat in there..............  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Ian the Kiwi Herder

So who's going to be the first to build a Routemaster in Vietnam camo with miniguns poking-out of the left-hand windows ??

I dunno, but I think it'd look the part with some Mad-Maxing...

How about a 007 version with hydroski's and hydro-thruster/impellers for those river crossings or quickie hops across the Channel, maybe even turn one into an Ekranoplan !

The Harry Potter fans will no doubt think about converting these to the Wizard's "Night Bus".

My dad did his driver training and few years as a bus driver back in the 70's on the Routemaster, I wonder if he'd like on as a pressie/reminder of those days????

It sounds like those busses you've mentioned belong more in Hull that Vietnam Ian....or maybe even Slough in my neck of the woods......

And now for something completely different....I DO Like the look of the new Halifax, even if the decals are a bit limited...In my opinion  of course.

I've got one on order with my LMS as soon as Western Canada receives them
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Think the bus would look good with two decks of cannons and the Jolly Roger flying.

Shouldn't one be suitable for a trip to Burning Man?

After studing the instructions for the Halifax you get two lots of props, 3 and 4 bladed, two types of undercarriage, three types of radiators and 5 types of exhausts so it looks like you can build a Mk5 with the parts that are included, nice one Revell.

The Bus, or the Handley Page Halifax?    ;D ;)

You may have discovered a nice root for a new thread or a interesting divert here....Aircraft of Burning Man....or the 12 ways to turn a turbofan into a bong.

Somehow it conjures up Biplanes in funky paint , Rutan creations that would send Tophe's head spinning, a flying wing made of recycled 2 liter bottles for me, and a hot-air balloon powered on---......you get the idea...
