The Airwaves PE kit for the Messerschmitt P.1099 is back out and back in Hannants:

ALSO, the PE kit for the Sea King, which includes tail fold pieces:

Hannants have got the 1/700th HMS Tiger and the Dingo & Biber in:

Almost tempted to buy the Tiger just to get some twin 3" Mk.6 mountings to stick on, well, anything, but since the kit is the post-helo conversion with just one left, that might get a tad expensive...

The Biber bridge could be put on other things to make a whiff: it works on a different principle to most AVLBs (sliding halves on a rail, rather than a scissors bridge).

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Hmm - I was more thinking out loud to be honest. Now I think about it more clearly, two of the projects that might use them (updated Belfast and alternative re-fit Leander) would actually need them in 1/600th. Only the super-Bristol would be in 1/700th......

As mentioned elsewhere the Revell 1/32 He 219 was in my local MZ last Monday, sold out though. So it's out there somewhere

Only 6 ????????  ;D

Well its a West German MK 88 version, Revell are likely to do a RN boxing in another 12 months, so pointless getting large numbers now and waiting for mod sets when a revisd version will probably appear before the mod sets appear and can be built

For the ultimate 1/32 "Uhu-Drilling" with three fuselages?  ;D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Only the Lynx, the He-219 has never taken my fancy apart from the high aspect version.  ;)

Got an HMS Tiger from Modelzone today: classic example of Box Inflation: it's in a 12" x 7" "£8.99 aircraft" sized box, yet the sealed bag with the sprues in is just 10 1/2" x 4", so the box is nearly twice as big as it needs to be.

They've got the Canberra PR.9 in at £12.99, which seemed a bit much, given the quality of the old Matchbox mould vs the Airfix one. However MZ have a 3-for-2 offer on Airfix and Revell at the moment, so if you were stocking up with them, you could get three for £8.66 each.
