Been looking at the Lynx and it does have the upper nose parts in the kit to do a Royal Navy Lynx plus the ECM gear for a AAC machine was well as a winch but these parts are not mentioned in the instructions.

That's interesting: you could mix it up with an Apache kit do an AH-9/Lynx-3 style machine with PNVS on the EO turret platform, Hellfires and the chain gun fixed on one side of the cabin.

Nice to see the Revell boxes of the Moebius BSG kits at SMW.  Wonderland Models has the Vipers listed at £17.99, much easier on the pocket.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I spotted a new range of 'X-Ray' anatomical models on the Telford stand.  There's a dog, horse, giraffe, frog, shark, crocodile and a spider as well as a human heart, torso and skull with brain.

They're obviously aimed at the educational market but I couldn't help but think of an undead animal army.  Right up Terry's street, shame they don't do a meerkat!!!

Revell's news for the second thru fourth quarter 2013 have been posted on dpmv.de. LINK The first quarter had been posted previously. LINK

Neue Form - new tooling
Überarbeitete Form - conversion from an existing tooling
Wiederauflage - repop
Some nice stuff.  Looking forward to the new 1/72 JAS-39C Gripen. That is sorely needed. Also great to see the 1/144 CH-53G back.
A new 1/48 Tornado IDS.  :o Interesting choice.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

PR19_Kit

I never saw the first list until now!  ;D

Lots of good stuff there, specially the 1/144 SpaceShip Two (pity it's not 1/72 but I expect A Model will be doing that soon  ;D) The Airbus A350 was predictable, even if they could have used the moulds for the Boeing 787 with new decals (That's a JOKE, OK?)

Nice to see the Ferrari GTO (early version) but presumably it's a re-pop that I've missed before, and the Red Bull RB8 was equally predictable I guess.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

for those about to whif, its a good year.

im glad they reissued the CH-53 in 1/144, ive been wanting one (or 2) for ages
and that 1/72 MD520 NOTAR, WIN  ;D (finally i can make a RW Belgian police version).

the new tool Gripen seems promising
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Nowt spectacular, the NOTAR and Gripen C should be good, some are excited about the new Two Seat Typhoon and Tornado in 1/48th as those should be decent kits for Quarter Scale Modellers, but you must admit it more a case of 'thats nice' rather than 'must buy'  and thus somewhat disappointing.

Was glad to see the Matchbox Falklands Paratroopers back although i can't help thinking they should have really done them last year !

Some of the Ship modellers will be happy to see the the CVS-12 Hornet relisted as that supposedly had its mould damaged when last mooted for reissue so either thsy have renpaired or replaced the damaged mould. Trouble is its still 1/530 scale and thus an odd box scale when modellers have been screaming for a proper Angled Deck Essex in either 1/700 or 1/350th scales for years.

Hopefully producers like Italeri, the chinese and czechs will have some interesting new tools for us to get excited about.

Agreed!  Especially since I would love to present SWMBO's father a Shangri-La, in all her Vietnam era loadout (in a real scale).

Revell, quit repopping the old box scale kits!

Me too (SLRs!), but looking at reviews of the set, it doesn't look too hot: the Charlie G is way out of proportion and the mortar is crude.

That 1:200th bucket excavator must be in the frame for scaleorama into a steampunk/Warhammer thang....
