The 32nd 262 is a rerelease and dates from the 80s.

Cautiously welcoming the 72nd Spit II, presumable scaled down from their 32nd one a la the Ju 88.

Is it legal to say it's a new tool then? I did wonder why no-one online seemed to be jumping up-and-down with joy about a new one.

The 60yr set is a cool idea, though not for me. Nothing takes my fancy, and I'm a little surprised to see no more The Force Awakens kits.

Maybe, the original Revell 1/32 262 nightfighter (kit no H275) actually dates to the mid-70s, and
seeing as they've done a number of new 1/32 Nazi warplanes I'd say wait and see if this is indeed
a re-release.

NARSES2

Amongst Revel's 2016 releases will be a 1/72 DC4 which will interest some on here as it's been wished for in another thread somewhere. Also in 1/72 a new tool Eurofighter Typhoon and a Spitfire Mk II
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Spey_Phantom

the DC-4 will most likely be a rebox of theyre 1/72 C-54.
perhaps with civilian parts, such as seats, ......

Not so much a 're-box' as the next planned release in the series, seeing as the main cabin floorboard of
the kit has different seat/equipment mounting points moulded on each side of the part.

Pretty naff, no headliner kits there bar perhaps the 262 and super hornet for the larger scale buffs, can't see why they would retool the typhoon for a tranche 3 aircraft unless they have goosed the tooling or looking to do a simpler entry level kit ala Hobbyboss.

I've been building multiple models of the Revell 4317 Eurofighter (their own mold, not the Italeri rebox) since they came out. Over the years, the tooling seems to have deteriorated badly. Absolute tons of flash, distortion that causes fit problems, and just a general downgrade in the modelling experience. So maybe they are doing a tranche 3 new mold in order to replace the 4317 that has gotten so bad?
All hail 1:72!

Possibly but check out the part count from the 4317 kit to the new Trach3 kit out......

This new one has only 80 parts compared with the 170 for the 4317 kit. I hear it's an Easykit based on the old moulds which have been cleaned up.
The other option is that all the weapons have been left out but doing that and hiking the price isn't cool.

Captain Canada

I noticed how badly the molds had deteriorated myself, but as Nick was saying with all of those weapons
