Got some CCG decals off Toad when I was down there a couple of weeks ago so this one may actually get finished soon.

What scale?  I've got an Anigrand 1/72 one in the stash and I might just go along with you on this one, that is if you don't mind ?

Probably too small, the Revell one is a box scale, smaller than 1/144th if I recall correctly. Even the ones I've got might look a bit undersize, but I'll try to remember to measure them up and let you know the dimensions.

Oo, ah, umm, oh wow...

I wonder what I could do to do that in 1/700?
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

When I look at the artist impression of the modified LSD...... I'm thinking how big of a gun battery I should be putting forward in the future 3DS Max project...... like a Japanese-style seaplane carrier on steroid......

This place is so rich in inspiration......

I hate you...  Anyone know of a relatively modern (LSD-41 or newer) 1/700 kit?  My bank account hasn't screamed mercy enough yet...

Not to mention a 1/700 Sea Master...  OK, so I'll do a forced perspective shot, but still!

I'd read someplace that for awhile the USN planned to arm the P6M with Regulus II missiles mounted on the back,I assume in a configuration like the Russian Lun WIG that was armed with Sunburns. If this was true, that would be a heck of a stand off bomber, esp for that timeframe.Wouldn't be hard to imagine(or convert) to carrying Tomahawks in the same manner(just a larger number carried compared to Reguluses)

Wouldn't Tomahawks fit in the weapons bay anyway?

There is as kit review and comparison of the Mach 2 and Anigrand P6M Seamaster kits authored by Phil Brandt on Hyperscale titled A "Tail" of Two SeaMasters: Mach 2 - Anigrand Comparo that may be of interest to anyone thinking of acquiring either of these two kits.

After looking at the kit parts I had an idea for a WHIF based on the Seamaster, not actually that far fetched but what if the Seamaster had been built with landing gear?  You could use the landing gear and outrigger wheels from a B-47 and make it an amphibian.  The wings have enough anhedral built in to let you get away with the outrigger wheels positioned next to the wing tip floats.  Certainly something to consider.

Jeff, I had similar thoughts while I was modding my Revell kit, ended up adding a pair of sponsons onto the hull aft of the weaps bay for the main gear but the tandem gear idea sounds workable too.
