QuoteYou found that Dominie yet, Martin?
Yep.

Next question?

Ill post it and the Kangnam A-5 when I get back from Cornwall next weekend.
And dont be surprised if it takes a while to get to you. Our local sorting office was subject to an arson attack last week, mail services have been knocked for six.

Well in between sanding & filling the FDIII, the fifth TSR2 is currently being assembled. The fuselage is joined and the intakes added, now letting filler dry on the intakes and the built up wing box. Once these are sanded and finished i shall assemble no 6 (getting tight on space). Then think about markings and fittings when both have been assembled. By this time no 7 & 8 should arrive, so i can maybe have all eight ready for the nationals (thinking i could do with time off to get some serious building done !!!!.

Any other projects will have to go on hold till december i think !!! :( .

QuoteBTW, the photo of a VG TSR2 type aircraft in the Buttler Bombers book, which he reckons is an early BAC Type 589, is apparently labelled "VG TSR2" on the box which holds the model.

Yes it does look a TSR2, just with a shorter fwd fuselage and longer nosecone. Will you try one of these shorter ones as the current VG ones are all ful length (Yes i know my naval one is shorter but not that short :( )

Hows the Courier version coming along ? or is it still drying at the moment ?

Cheers

#37
Production line update.

Airframe #3. (Heritage kit) Masking up has taken place and the first coat of paint has been applied.  This bird is now getting the Marine Fleiger scheme, rather than Airframe #4.

Airframe #4. (Arbba kit) this bird will be a little controvershall when shes done (if the current idea lasts). Im now thinking Argentine AF circa 1982, with a pair of Exocets slung under the wings. Back story being we sold em about a dozen to replace their Canberra's in the mid 1970's...and low and behold we end up facing them in 82. The reason for swapping the paint schemes around is due to the nose profile of the Arbba kit, Argi bird refitted with a smaller french radar when they get wired for Exocets. As for the paint scheme, im looking for a decent photo of an argi canberra for the cammo scheme and campain ID markings.

Airframe #5. (2nd Arbba kit) still in the box, untouched. On hold untill futher notice.

Im still toying with a South African bird. in full Bush cammo
I always hope for the best.

QuoteProduction line update.

Well there's only Wooksta who really has a production line the rest of us build one or two at a time to have something to do whilst the other sets or dries.

As to mine

No- 5 (Heritage) is now structurally assembled, Wings & Intake fitted, just the Cockpit to fit out and the Undercarriage. Then i must decide on a suitable operator & colour scheme. As this one looks OK so far i may go for a lighter scheme for the EW/WW version, additional aerials, & bumps, long range tanks, EW pods and shoulder mounted Alarm, or if i do an earlier version then replace the Alarm with Shrike and do a DG/DSG wrap arround scheme

No- 6 (Heritage) is cut ready for assembly, but need to finishe FDIII to free space to start construction. This one will be a commonwealth version in a darker grey scheme for either the RAAF or RCAF using a more US styled weaponry & tanks.

No-7 (Blackbeard) should be despatched next week sometime ready to follow 6 onto the production line once 5 is out of the way. This one will be RAF again from the 80's .

No-9 Not sure what this will be as i still have another Heritage to go (I Think <_< ) plus a Resitech one, but that will be held back as master for Blackbeard.

Cheers
