Oh man, THAT is superb!!!! Brilliant looking build Jeff. I just hope you don't shoot the props off when you fire off all those guns on the inner wing.

QuoteTonight, did a little work on the belly and some paint ops  ;)

I have to tell you I had to fight the urge to do a bunch of sanding and get out the airbrush, but I am still having fun  :D

Geez, are you ever going to need a synchronizer system with that cannon fit.  Glad I don't have to try and develop one for real.  This is looking great!!

wow!! With such number of guns, your beaufighter would send German tiger tanks on the moon!! Don't want to be a german soldier straffed by such a beast!!! Just imagine the noise, mudq and panic provoqued by such a plane...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Indeed, Archie! A British "nuisance" aircraft perhaps?

The paintjob looks absolutely superb Jeff! Some may say my brushwork is good but I take my beret off to you for this beautiful Beau!

And all those cannon.........WOWZA!!!! B)

All those guns, remind me of pipe organs...

With all them firing at once, it coud be sweet music.... or cacophony from hell, depending on which side youre on B)

Would that thing have kicked tail in the anti-shipping role or what?  I can just see all of Rommel's awaited barges going up in pieces just out of Malta...cool stuff.

I was thinking the same thing when I was putting all of those guns on and thought what the heck it will either work or I will have very short propellers

I tried placing the guns further out on the wings but they looked akward. The other option was Jet engines and I didn't have any donors besides the fact that this is supposed to be a quick easy build. Hope to finish this one up today (didn't get to work on it last night).

Finished her up today. Added finishing bits and pieces, decals and appropriate amounts of grunge to her.

I made a seat back for the pilot and a bit of styrene to fill the gap between the canopy and airframe. Horrible fit on the canopy

Since this was a quickee I didn't putty up the canopy gaps but I'm still happy with the overall build. :)

Overall probably somewhere between eight to ten hours of build time seems like a long time for a quickee!

Brush painted?  You've got to be pulling our collective leg!!!  What kind of paint do you use?  I love that wash, especially on the top-side: subtle yet enough to register in pics.  How did you do that?

This is too good to be 1:72!!!

Models Masters Acryl line of Acrylic paint made by Testors is my preferred paint of choice. They have a very good selection of colors and go down smooth.

I love working with acrylics because they are easy to use, can be thinned with water and clean up with water too. Acrylics also dry fast just make sure you let them cure long enough if you need to do multiple colors with masking.

As for the weathering I use a wash of mostly water with a dab of black or brown or both in it. I dab it on with a brush, it beads up but if you let it sit a minute then wipe it in the direction you want the streaks it will smudge just right. takes several coats to get it to look good but it works for me.

I also want to thank everyone for the kind words, this was a fun build as well as the first plane with a propeller that I have built in over 25 years! I didn't realize that until I was done...gonna have to do more prop jobs!

I'm gonna add a buncha guns and call it a tank buster!
