Another one I don't want my modelling friends to miss.  Turning a 1:72 Mosquito into a "small" 1:48 fighter.  Thread with first in-progress pics begins here:

Here are how those blocks of styrene ended up as wing intakes.  They look pretty bad in these shots with the multiple putties that I used to build up the wing's leading edge shape, etc.  I'll hit 'em with primer grey to check finish...

I was wondering, much interested: what 1/48 canopy will you use? :P  then I followed the link...

QuoteOh yeah, modified P-51 cockpit in the background will fit in the new fuselage nicely, too.
The answer? Another P-51/Something mix? Great! :D

Thanks, Tophe and Nev!

The wing intake root plugs look fairly decent but the primer did reveal some seamlines which can still be improved so, back to the putty, sand, repeat mode...

CAN be improved  -_- does not mean automatically MUST be improved  , dear...
If you are feeling very unsatisfied :( , do the work, but if too much work is upleasant too  :(  , choose the best compromise in between :) , yes?

I'm really impressed at your work on those wings, Mr Howling Mouse. It's amazing to see how far you've come with them.

But more putty, sand, repeat? NOOOOoooooooooooooooo!!!
