Looks superb, what colors/paints did you use for the metal finish?

It's various Tamiya acrylics, mixed to taste and airbrushed at low pressure. It will be less shiny and there will be less contrast between the different panels when I'm finished.

Thanks for all the kind comments, I hope to do justice to the great work by Eddie M. and JHM on this...

I'm not big on forward swept wings, but I really think this model is cool.

Great work!

The project took a bit of a hit last weekend. I had a motorcycle accident and went down HARD at over 160kph/100mph on the A4 Autobahn near Cologne. I have broken one of my vertebrae (among other things) and unless I can learn to airbrush laying down I won't be finishing the SF for a few months at least - sorry!

The fracture stopped 1mm from my spinal cord and the Doc said if I hadn't been wearing a back protector I would now be paralyzed from the chest down. As it is, I will make a full recovery. If you ride a motorcycle GET A BACK PROTECTOR!

I told the Doc to slap some Tamiya Putty on the fracture and PSR that sucker! I also got a ride in an ADAC EC145. Very quiet and smooth; I recommend it as the helicopter of choice for travel with a broken back.

Best wishes, Simon, for a speedy recovery.  I'm just glad to hear that you -can- recover.  I'll pass your warning on to a couple of co-workers who ride.
