all the best for a speedy recovery

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

QuoteThe project took a bit of a hit last weekend. I had a motorcycle accident and went down HARD at over 160kph/100mph on the A4 Autobahn near Cologne. I have broken one of my vertebrae (among other things) and unless I can learn to airbrush laying down I won't be finishing the SF for a few months at least - sorry!

The fracture stopped 1mm from my spinal cord and the Doc said if I hadn't been wearing a back protector I would now be paralyzed from the chest down. As it is, I will make a full recovery. If you ride a motorcycle GET A BACK PROTECTOR!

I told the Doc to slap some Tamiya Putty on the fracture and PSR that sucker! I also got a ride in an ADAC EC145. Very quiet and smooth; I recommend it as the helicopter of choice for travel with a broken back.
Tut-tut, you motorcyclists.....

*wags disapproving finger*

Still, the irony of you getting a lift in a rescue helicopter eh?

Get well soon mate - make sure that hot french wife of yours gives you lots of TLC   B)

The EC145 seemed to pitch backwards on take off and I was instinctively shouting "F***ING CYCLIC!" from the comfort of the board to which I was strapped.

My HFW has smuggled me in a laptop and 3G card but I have to use it sparingly and surreptitiously as it is probably interfering with the machines keeping the guy in the next room alive.

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys, I appreciate it.

Good to see you've still got your sense of humour - when all else fails its something for we Brits to rely upon (that and talking about the weather).

145 aint too bad (Shas sr. has been drooling over it for a few months now), but dont ever tell a pilot what to do mate, otherwise he might come back there & give ya a piece of his thoughts ;)

Get better mate, at least you have pleasurable company to pass the time

Unfortunately, I've had a bit of bad medical luck myself. I had a seizure in the doctor's office. I was there because I wasn't feeling right and I stood up to tell the lady behind the desk that I needed help NOW. Never got that far. I hit the floor and almost bit the tip of my tongue off and was wisked aways to the hospital. Now, I've been banned from drive until I get the OK from the Doctor. I've never had a seizure and don't want another. Definately the scariest thing to happen to me yet. Here's to no more brain short curcuits!

QuoteI've never had a seizure and don't want another.
And you may not. I had an epileptic seizure in 1976, but it was caused by extreme physical and emotional stress, not by the condition known as epilepsy. The neurologist told me that anybody can have one if the conditions are right. Try telling that to Transport Canada though. Because I had a seizure I had to terminate my flying training just a few hours short of my license, and I can never get a license now. I can't be cured because there's nothing wrong with me, it's a lousy situation.

I hope you get a clean bill of health Mr Miller! I'm glad you're feeling better and if there's anything I can do to aid in your recovery, you need but ask.

All the best,

P.S. This sounds like a great excuse to hit the workbench!

Prob`ly over load from the `voices` and build inputs.

"Is there a doctor in the house etc"
no comment neccessary as it says it all

But seriously Ed you take care now, and Simon, get well  soon.
theres no rush, remember this modelling lark is supposed to be a leisure thing.

JHM tends to post at weekends, but having just moved house he's not been on the forum much.  I got a PM off him a couple of weeks ago, so he is still around.

Eddie, sounds to me like you need a week off work on the sick building lots of models

It's done! And I'm pretty happy with the result considering I nearly died in the middle. Pictures tomorrow if it's not raining.
